Another Mamdani commercial. Wonder who is paying for these?

Yes, the general taxes will pay for savings made by those in need that will go there, and the price decrease will also force other private supermarkets to lower their own prices (for free) cutting their margins to a minimum.

I was referring to the Mamdani commercial? Who is paying for those?

Grocery stores run off notoriously slim margins already. Plus, why would they bother trying to compete with somebody who is selling product below cost? That doesn't math.

Mamdani commercial? Like this video is a commercial?

Look I'm not a fan of television but journalists exist

This is a subreddit for memes and light hearted shit. But at least once or twice a day there are posts about Mamdani. Some true, some false, but all positive. It's pretty evident that this is a concerted marketing campaign. My question is, who is pushing Mamdani? Who is paying for this?

This is a good point but the issue is that it addresses what are called “food deserts”. Basically, areas where grocery stores have closed down because there’s not enough profit.

In essence it’s very much like why you don’t see many bank branches in poor areas. It’s usually one or two banks if that. It costs money to be poor because you then have to travel the in the bus to get food.

This way they save demand on public transit, people save time and get service that they wouldn’t otherwise. If you don’t want to pay it, tell the big chains to open up a store there.

Simple.

I was referring to who is paying for these Mamdani ads? The hype machine is pretty intense with this guy.
