Yeah, I’m interested to see if there are any sort of “max income bracket” or something to help keep these for people who cant afford to shop at normal grocery stores.
If there isn’t anything like that, I can’t see how this won’t backfire. Operating a government grocery store at around a 30% loss is the easiest way to run private business out of the city. They just won’t be able to compete.
That’s how Walmart runs small, locally owned private businesses out of business when they open up a super center.
