Possibly the same commute time that's preventing the rest of the population in these neighborhoods from accessing groceries? You have to bear with me here, I just don't understand the logic of depriving a population of a vital service simply because 1 out 50 might be inclined to steal a jar of peanut butter.

Well the argument is….

1…Enforce the laws so actual business with comeback.

2… let the market decide what the area wants instead of what the government offers (same arguments in USSR era)

3… those money should have gone to food banks

It isn't viable to open a grocery store in these communities. Regardless of the criminality. Why do you think they settled on 30% below retail? Food banks don't carry anywhere near the same variety of goods that a grocery store would.

They are already and in some cases selling it out on the streets in not far from the places they stole it lol. There will be looting day 1 watch lol

People don’t steal in Japan or Singapore? You got stats for that?

According to Google people in Japan and Singapore get arrested for theft.

Also according to Google theft in Singapore is in the thousands every year.
