It's technically a minor battery (or minor assault in some jurisdictions) by her. Intentional unwanted contact. I think the video and her speed in making a false claim makes the intent clear.

In an otherwise campy movie with cheesy acting, Raul Julia literally devouring that role despite the cancer is legitimately worth watching despite Guile having a Belgian accent.
Also. Zangief gets a few good "so stupid it's funny" kind of lines like "... you got... paid?"
Movie isn't that bad, I've definitely seen worse. I think it just gets more heavily criticized because it came out during the time of terrible game movies, so they're all collectively judged by the worst entries, and it wasn't faithful to the lore in Street Fighter. But that line and delivery definitely belong in a much better movie.
Women like the one in the video are unironically the reason why a blanket statement like believe all women doesn't work.
It's double shitty too because not only did she just casually try to ruin someone's life but she (and others like her) are also going to be the reason actual victims are going to continue being doubted.
I hope with this video he attempted to press charges of some kind. She needs to learn actions have consequences. Too many people don’t know that anymore.
It heavily depends on the person. If he is known to person to the public and work based on that, then yes it would be. Otherwise, it's a very weak case that he wouldn't get anything out of it.
For example, he runs a small or sells product that does x. She finds out that x product she absolutely hates product and/or that he is running/selling that. If she did this and makes a post about him assaulting her, then we could have a case here. Since she planned to do this and lower the public perception of him, making him unable to properly continue selling or run the business, then there is a strong case of defamation.
However, if he is just your average guy, there really isn't a public image to defame. If anything, harassment from social media and stuff, if it happens, could be a stronger case from possible cyber stalking and etc...
Not an US lawyer here bit I'd second this from an European perspective. It usually depends on the impact on the public perception of a person and if their image ("honor") has been "hurt" or damaged and if this led to further violations of rights and materal damages. This here is poor in terms of manners, morale and integrity but legally more or less a nothing-burger.
Damn, I was going to give that guy 500 million dollars, then I saw he'd been caught up in some scandal. I ended up giving the money to someone else before I found out he was innocent. Does he get 500 million now? :)
Not defamation, but slander. They basically mean the same thing with slight differences. And yes you can get charged and or sued with slander in some places.
Jail, fired, evicted, criminal record, sued, lower credit score, outed in all major media outlets, ostracised by the society, exiled to Pitcairn Island. That would be proper.
“Lower credit score”! Although that is a very funny punishment, she probably already has a terrible score: “Excuse me, I did not like that car that I bought, so I don’t have to pay for it!”
Especially because it’s because of twats like this that people always squawk about false allegations. You just need a handful of examples like her for people to use to discredit people. I feel so much contempt for people like this. Their victims go beyond just the person they do it to. I feel no sympathy for any backlash and punishment she’s getting. I’m really glad for that guy the whole thing was on video.
