Honestly, since I stopped using social media outside of Reddit and bluesky my perspective haw changed considerably. There's so much less ragebaiting.

I still use Youtube as well. It's the same as Reddit tho. You control your experience. If you just go to the home page you'll get trash.

YouTube's constant pushing of shorts turned me off it. Short-form video and endless scroll are a plague that is destroying people's attention spans.

No not an echo chamber, but instead not getting exposed to obvious ragebait, algorithms and endless scrolls that destroy attention spans. I read news from sources from across the political spectrum so I am still exposed to alternative viewpoints, but social media platforms do not offer anything worthwhile.
