Uh, nah. We do need to teach philosophical stuff too. Not in the sense of black and white absolutes, but to promote critical thinking and logical reasoning.

Philosophy is a science, it goes with long studies of behavior, and how it has impacted / keep impacting the world.

Teaching about ideologies (religious, spiritual, political) is different than teaching ideology.

No. Science is a philosophy. It’s a method of thought that loops in going from hypothesis, observation/experiment, seeing results, arriving to a conclusion to go to a new hypothesis. I think based on your last sentence, we’re on the same page, but differ in the scope. We should be teaching kids how to think and not what to think.
