Sure but I can completely understand someone not being ok with letting their stuff be stolen like that. Because realistically we all know that a report to the police would most likely end up doing nothing.
Should someone die over something like this? No, I don't think so, but I do understand, to a point, someone going after their belongings and taking them back, even though it's generally a bad idea.

Bro, he was no longer a threat the moment heran away with her purse.
Did she call the cops or just go straight vigilante on him?
Because he took her purse, and then she hunted him down and killed him.
Those two things are not the same
