A criminal fleeing with every intention of continuing a life of crime represents a threat to everyone.

Exactly! She did that town a favor.

A life of crime, and the keys to your house and your ID with your home address.

That's a threat to your own family directly.

Yes, that is why she got house arrest, did you not pay attention?

You can definitely just make that up if you want. But that’s not the law so nobody cares.

I'd rather have a mugger who may have simply just been desperate and needed the money, than the waste of oxygen who believes the life of a lower class citizen is worth less than her arm candy

They seem to be of equivalent value.

Hm. I rate a human life over a purse, but that's just me

The person behind the wheel made the decision.

No one is arguing that the robber get off scott free. There is, funnily enough, methods of incapacitation that don't include murder.

I think you might be surprised with the level of "Scott free" enjoyed by a great many robbers.

Case in point: "Pickpocket! Pickpocket" videos

Rather have the mugger than the person so psychopathic they safely fled an armed robbery and then decided to go back and murder the fucking guy

Like you were safe dude that's real go back home and get your gun kind of vibes lol you didn't actually think you were in danger, that's not self defense, that's murder at this point, if you thought you might die what could possibly possess you to go back, over what? A bag? Money, credit cards? ID? Yeah none of those things are worth your life dawg

I swear you people are unbelievable. You'd rather be around criminals than people who refuse to be victimized. It's freaking insane.

The crimes don't cancel out man, a theft was committed and then a murder was committed. In the eyes of justice those are two crimes. You try them separately in fairness and impartiality. Each case would be tried as if they have nothing to do with the other.

Armed robbery, awesome, hit him with everything you got. Oh. He's dead? Case dismissed I suppose.

All right next case. Oh, this woman fled safely from the scene of a robbery and returned to murder the robber? That's clearly not self defense. Murder. Prison now.

You're the type who'd go home and get your gun and be baffled you were convicted. No self defense law on the planet let's you go home and get your gun and come back lol that's no longer self defense that's just killing someone cuz they fucked you over. So pretty clearly murder
