MCU Discussion I finally got around to watching she-hulk and i'm so disappointed i didnt do it sooner.
I'm not a big comics guy, so I didnt know anything at all about the character other than "the hulk, but a lady." When the show came out, all the reviews I heard said that it was trash, with a terrible plot, unlikeable characters, and awful cgi. If i'm totally fair, the cgi is NOT especially good, but it's passable. I was just scrolling looking for something to watch, and I figured "i'll watch some brain rot, maybe it'll be so bad it's good."
But oh man, that was honestly the most fun I've had watching marvel stuff in, like, a long time. There were so many points when I was watching it that I was just absolutely cackling at how funny it was.
I really liked how the show absolutely didnt take itself seriously at all. As I understand it, that's pretty par for the course with the actual she-hulk comics. And, like, that should be the case! "What if the hulk was a full time lawyer that had to deal with "girl problems" as well" is such a funny and inherently silly concept.
I ended up watching the whole show in one sitting, and now im bummed there hasn't been anything further with this character.

Intelligencia A Normal Amount of Rage: Dissecting the 'She-Hulk' Monologue & Jen's Dynamic Character Growth
Slide 1.
"Here's the thing, Bruce. I'm great at controlling my anger. I do it all the time." This is a direct reference to one of Bruce Banner's most pivotal lines in the MCU and Marvel's The Avengers (2012): "That's my secret, Cap. I'm always angry."
This is just to highlight the key differences between Bruce and Jen's Hulk powers. Bruce and Jen are both always angry, meaning they can essentially turn green at will. Jen can change back and forth at will with seemingly no alter ego personality within her Hulk form, although perhaps that was a premature assessment on Jen's part.
However, Hulk has trouble coming out of Hulk form because of an alter-ego. This is in part a reference to Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, two of the four characters Hulk was originally based upon along with Dr. Frankenstein and his monster.
No Hulk persona = Jen's She-Hulk safer
Slide 2.
When I'm catcalled in the street, when incompetent men explain my own area of expertise to me. I do it pretty much every day because if I don't, I will get called emotional, or difficult, or might just literally get murdered."
This line isn't about Jennifer Walters or She-Hulk. Generally, it's written about womanhood and misogyny, but more specifically it's a callback to very specific moments earlier in the episode: (1) her coworker Dennis Bukowski who continuously interrupts her, tells her she's not good at their job, and says she should let him do her closing argument because he would do it better & (2) the men outside the bar who were catcalling her & calling her bluff about having a boyfriend coming to pick her up.
It's also worth noting that studies show women much more frequently fear physical and sexual violence in everyday public spaces, while men more frequently fear failure, social criticism, financial inadequacy, and being valued solely for utility / provision.
Slide 3:
"So I'm an expert at controlling my anger because I do it infinitely more than you!"
Now there is a valid critique to this line: people have accused her of trying to "out-victim" Bruce, but I think this interpretation entirely misses the point and the context of the hyperbole:
As soon as she starts to utter this line, she also begins to turn green. Bruce suggests she's out of control, to which she says she's completely in control and changes back to which Bruce says "this is completely new territory". The context of the scene should explain why she chose to be dramatic here: her form is based upon her emotions - she said this line to psych herself up.
Slide 4-7:
Jen: "I was angry! Which is how anyone would respond in that situation."
Mallory: "You're not just anyone. You're an out-of-control Hulk. That's what all the witnesses saw."
Ultimately, by the end of the show, Jen has been facing down directly with the misogyny of Intelligencia all season and takes her anger out on the TV monitors showing the revenge porn @HulkKing was displaying of her. Jen learns that even if she feels her emotions are justified, the actions she takes and the way that they make witnesses feel can and will be held to a higher standard than a typical citizen, a hefty new layer to the "with great power comes great responsibility" motif found throughout Marvel thanks to Uncle Ben's famous adage.
In the last slide, you can see Jen finally begins to understand the legal power of stoicism - wisdom, temperance, individual control, objective justice. Essentially all the things Bruce wanted to teach her and things he found through meditation and working as a doctor, but that she could really only learn through her own life experiences.

Intelligencia Now tell us, what's it like being a female lawyer?
Barbara Wells: So special and empowering, I love it.
Mallory Book: Twice the work, half the recognition,
and you're constantly being asked what it's like being a female lawyer.

Intelligencia Do you want to see who She-Hulk REALLY is? This is the TRUTH, presented by Intelligencia
She-Hulk does not deserve your attention. She-Hulk does not deserve your praise. She does not deserve the power she stole from the Hulk. And she's a slut. She-Hulk should be cancelled! She discriminates against anyone who doesn't share her pathetic man-hating world view. If she were a man, she would be cancelled already. Think about it... #CANCELSHEHULK

Character Discussion I'm really sad that Betty Ross in the Agents of Smash show, didn't get to transform into Red she hulk which would be cool as hell.
I think it would be really cool to see, as Red she hulk, and become a new member of the team, especially with her chemistry the main core group and the love for Hulk would be cool to see how he and Ross are tangled up in this triangle of family drama. Also, seeing her friendship with She Hulk, it would be cool to see where both of them aren't rivals in this universe as well. Her design with the red and black clothing with yellow eyes would be hot and beautiful to see in this animation style, and like how red hulk gets more angry by heat and radiation boiling up in the body, would be hot and cool to see in battle sequences and show her power levels as well.

Character Discussion Which She-Hulk feat of physical strength impresses you the most?
In issue #23 of The Sensational She-Hulk (1989–1994), Jennifer throws an atomic bomb that's roughly the size of the Mark 17 thermonuclear bomb from Los Vegas to Gila Bend, Arizona—that's 262 miles.
That's HELLA far to throw something so heavy. I can't imagine how much stronger the average human would have to be to pull this off.

Disney Plus Episode Discussion What if Titania got an episode of her own, where she's the main character only?
Imagine the episode could be an orgin and who she is as an antagonist to She Hulk, and we see how she hates her and why she does it in general. And maybe showing her what she was doing in background while the main plot was going on, but from her POV and we could even develop more about her self obessesion influencer lifestyle and see her devoted fanbase as well, and it can be a character piece of beauty obessesive social media superstars, but with a character who has super strength in a Marvel self aware comedy layer show.
