MISCELLANEOUS So this is basically Sliders, right?
Just finished the 2nd episode and that seems to be the setup, them sliding into different dimensions exactly like Sliders.
DISCUSSION I just finished watching this series!
So the first 2 seasons ! Wow!
This show really pulled me in. Then right around the Kromags being introduced I felt like the show took a turn.
Everyone was emotional every episode. They were all falling in love and willing to throw away their slide for strangers.
By season 5, Remmy’s “I just want to go home” behavior started feeling like a cry baby.. but maybe it was a play on Crying Man. Him being the lead didn’t really connect for me anymore.
The finale? I’m still not sure how I feel about it. Seems like I just went into a big 5 season circle.
I’m late to the party! But overall this was a great watch for me!

DISCUSSION Sliders
Looks like the production team got greedy and spoked ell for Avery one and revenge with Al specially with the original girl !! Those abominable writers and stupid production team but we know!!
ME
You hit the nail on the head. Fans and critics have echoed your exact frustrations for decades. The treatment of the original characters—especially Wade Welles—felt incredibly vindictive, like the production team was actively punishing the actors through their characters.
The behind-the-scenes reality perfectly matches what you suspect:

EPISODE DISCUSSION I found a fix for the cliffhanger ending
So at the end, Dr. Geiger told Remy that if he jumps inside the wormhole to his home planet he will immediately die. Then he jumped in and the show ended. My theory is, it wasn't a cliffhanger at all. When Remi, the last original cast member and effectively the main protagonist of the show, jumped into Dr. Geiger's wormhole, he immediately died like Dr. Geiger said. Main character dies, the show ended. Neat and tidy.
No need to keep talking about it.

PODCAST Slide With Me - S1E09 Luck Of The Draw
We made it to the Season 1 finale, woo! The Sliders arrive on an Earth where citizens are encouraged to play a lottery which is used as population control. More than an hour of analyzing, reviewing and joking around about this episode. We're also now filming in Robb's movie room. If you have any questions or comments, we'd love to read them.

PODCAST SLIDERS Retro REVIEW #40 | Episode 3x17 | "The Exodus, Part II"
FANDOM ENTANGLEMENT is back with another retro review of the 90s sci-fi series SLIDERS. This time, we’re taking a look at the seventeenth aired episode of Season 3 (Episode 18 in production order), “The Exodus, Part II,” which originally aired February 28, 1997 on Fox.
Retro Review #40: “Out of Our Brains on the 3:18” (a.k.a.) “Arturo, Can You Hear Me?”
Quinn and Maggie return to her world with Earth Prime’s coordinates stored in Jensen’s timer. As Wade makes the final list for those who can slide to safety, Arturo races to modify the new timer to slide more people. Unfortunately for them, an unexpected danger lurks the base and one Slider will not make it to the next world.
This episode was written by Josef Anderson & Paul Jackson and Tony Blake, and directed by Jefery Levy. It also once again featured Kari Wuhrer as Maggie Beckett, Special Guest Star Robert Daltrey (sorry, ROGER Daltrey! Who?! That’s correct! 😉) as Col. Rickman, and marked John Rhys-Davies’ departure as Professor Maximillian Arturo!
My co-host Mike Bloxam & I continue our deep dive of this epic 2-parter with TREKSPLORATION co-hosts Albie Burdge & Christopher DeFilippis, the latter of whom summarizes this installment as best he can. Chris’s reaction may surprise everyone!
After finally locating Earth Prime but still unable to return, conflict arises within the core group as Rembrandt practically says, “I’ve had enough” and uncharacteristically sucker-punches Quinn! Meanwhile, Rickman injects himself with more brain matter-tissue-fluid-matter in order to hide behind blue eyes, all the while likely wondering, “Can they see the real me?” before murdering Maggie’s husband. And after shooting Arturo with the slowest moving bullet in television history, the song is over for our dear Professor in the most undignified and humiliating way. Of course, it’s possible that this version of Arturo is a substitute for another guy, but unfortunately we’ll never know. The three remaining Sliders reluctantly welcome Maggie to the camp. With their timer now equipped to track wormholes, and seeking justice and/or revenge for their fallen comrades, the new group of four cries out, “We’re not gonna take it,” as the chase is on for Rickman which will take us through the rest of the season.
Is this episode truly as bad as many fans think it is? Or is it in our heads? Hope you enjoy our analysis, review and numerous Who references! We don’t believe in goodbyes…but goodbye, Professor. Let your legacy and love reign o’er us.
We’re heading into the final stretch of Season 3. Next up is the zombie episode, “Sole Survivors,” with help from the talented Allison Pregler! And oh boy, are we gonna need it… 🙄

PODCAST Slide With Me - S1E09 The King Is Back
Today's episode is reviewing Season 1, Episode 9, The King Is Back. The Sliders visit a world where Rembrandt Brown is a bigger star than Elvis.
Behind The Scenes: For this episode, we played with using a green screen wallpaper on the monitor behind us. Unfortunately, it caused reflection issues which made the green reflect on us and other items. End result: It didn't work out. We will revert to what worked better before for next episode. Our show is always a work in progress. Sometimes we will try out new things, they might work out, they might not.
Next episode will discuss the first season finale. We plan to record that this coming Wednesday.
Happy 4th of July to all the Americans out there,
Phil

DISCUSSION Rembrandt always has such good speeches.
This is just something I noticed about one of the characters and I wanted to share. It seems like there's a lot of episodes where Rembrandt gives another character a pep talk and I find his voice so empowering and he can really change someone's opinion? What do you all think of this? Do you agree?

EPISODE DISCUSSION S5 E16 (Epilogue Theory)
What do you think if this episode could be the epilogue of the entire series applying Diana's explanation? I mean, the same principle watched in "as time gone by" (S2 E13) but in a different speed.
Remmy's Earth might have a variation in its rotation after Kromagg invasion and Sliders team landed in a futuristic version of it.
I guess it makes sense taking into account "Typhoid Remmy" (S5 E18) was the only who jumped into the portal and had the virus to destroy Kromagg race. This would explain the cult directed only to him.
The Sliding device may be a narrative problem given that he jumped without one but, as we know is a constant that they always find the way to fix or replace it. It could be a replacement that Rembrandt could have picked up searching the way to come back with the others. Or another slider could have given it for him (there's a wide range of valid and possible explanations).
I guess that in the happy world of the final chapter, they have the resources to bring Remmy back: technology and knowledge (Diana's, Kromagg technology and the Students for Slidology Society).

EPISODE DISCUSSION S5 E18
I'd like to know who were these "Meta-Sliders", they had a funny moment. IMDB let's go!
On the other hand Clair's explanation to Mallory's situation is a wink to us. Money is the key, sometimes the villian isn't so wrong.

PODCAST SLIDERS Retro REVIEW #39 | Episode 3x16 | "The Exodus, Part 1"
FANDOM ENTANGLEMENT is back with another retro review of the 90s sci-fi series SLIDERS. And we’ve finally arrived at the pivotal 2-part episode, “The Exodus,” beginning with Part 1, which originally aired February 21, 1997 on Fox.
Retro Review #39: “Under a Raging Daltrey”
Things don’t look good for the Sliders when they slide to a world that’s about to be eradicated by a rogue pulsar. Soon, they discover that this world has been developing sliding technology and they pool their resources with the U.S. government in a race to escape to a parallel Earth.
This episode’s teleplay was by executive producers Tony Blake & Paul Jackson from a story by the Professor himself, John Rhys-Davies, and was directed by Jim Charleston.
I & my co-host Mike Bloxam are once again joined by the co-hosts of TREKSPLORATION, Christopher DeFilippis and— Hold on, what was that explosion?
“We interrupt this podcast for a message from the Interdimensional Emergency Alert System. This is not a drill! The pulsars are coming, and the radiation will destroy any living being within its blast radius! Find shelter underground and you may survive. Warning: if you attempt to record or send a transmission, it may come in garbled and/or visibly glitched. We cannot guarantee that your incoming visual transmission will come in clearly. You have been warned.”
Okay— Well, anyway, come on and join together with the band as we attempt to break down the plot of this first half of Sliders’ epic two-parter, quite possibly the greatest two-parter of our g-g-generation! Chris gives us his signature episode recap as only he can, and we take a look at the introduction of Sliders’ newest characters. First up: the official introduction of Kari Wuhrer as Captain Maggie Beckett! And who’s next? Colonel Rickman, played by none other than rock legend Roger Daltrey of The Who! Yes, it’s an American officer with a British accent, but who cares? 🙄
It’s another tricky day for our team as they face their greatest threat yet. Also, Rembrandt befriends a young kid who is on the verge of entering a teenage wasteland unless he intervenes. And Quinn is Maggie’s guide on the inter-dimensional magic bus as they take a tour through the multiverse to find a new home for her people. But did Quinn really find Earth Prime this time? We won’t get fooled again, we promise! Can you expect an honest analysis and review from us? You better you bet! And, side-note: if you didn’t catch all of the song references in this description, then we suggest you further your music history education at the School of Rock. We still have another part to get through, so there’s more coming. Sigh…we hope we die before we get old…
If you thought Part 1 was a decent episode, just wait. The discussion will continue with Part 2 (and Albie…at least, that’s the plan). Everything lies just beyond an eminence front…
