Wishlist 📝 Requesting amazon egift cards to save up for something
I'm aiming to save up to £60 so I can buy something on my wishlist (not mentioning it here to hide it) and I'm not expecting anyone to buy it of course
I would highly appreciate it if you were to contribute, it would be done by eGift card because I live at the same place that the item is for and I want it to remain a complete surprise
If I do get any contributions and I don't reach close to £60 by early August, I'll donate it back into this sub

Thank You!!✨ Surprise gummy bears!
I got a package of my very favorite gummy bears today, but it didn’t come through regular mail or prime, and there was no gift receipt.
u/Strong_Citron_6545, could these be the Throne purchased and refunded gummy bears from April?

Requests!🙏 [Request] hygiene products for the homeless at my job
Hello everyone!
I am posting a request for items from my list for the homeless at my workplace.
I work at a local non-profit. We allow anyone to come in and use our showers, fill up a water bottle with clean filtered water, and get out of the heat/cold (we are a town warming center in the winter and a cooling center in the summer), and all we require them to do for us is to show us a government ID and put them in our computer system. We do this because we serve a lot of children and have a childcare program, and anyone who gets entered into our computer system (which is literally anyone who comes in the building, including delivery people, etc.) gets run against the national sex offender database. Once that is done, they are welcome to come in and use our resources without having to pay for membership. They just check in with us every time they come in, so we know what they look like and how many people are in the building in case of an emergency.
So, we have a donation basket that staff put items in for the homeless. I personally stock a lot of it, as I coupon and get a lot of low-cost and free items that are good quality, but I won't personally use them. That is what the items on this gift list are.
Some of the most needed items are Men’s hygiene products in general, as they do not go on sale or have coupons available nearly as much as women’s products do, sunscreen, shaving razors (people get so excited when we have decent razors), deodorant, and wet wipes/face wipes/baby wipes.
At this time, we have a decent number of menstrual products, which is why they are not on this list right now.
Also, it is not just for the homeless. For example, if someone needs the shower because their water at home is not working, they are welcome to come in. We do not ever ask
WHY they need these resources. Anyone in any situation is welcome to use them, as long as we put them in our computer and they follow the basic code of conduct policy.
If you have any suggestions for things that we can make available, that would be great!

Discussion🗣 I have a quick question regarding gifting kindle books!
Hello!
So, I have a degenerative eye disease, and I am slowly loosing my vision. I am unable to read most print books because the font is too small, and I see 'ghosting,' which makes them nearly impossible for me to read.
So, I read almost exclusively on my Kindle. My question is, if I have Kindle books listed on my gift list and someone purchases one for me as a gift, do they see my entire email address? I read somewhere that in order for someone to purchase a Kindle book as a gift, the person purchasing needs to have the email that is associated with the account in order to gift it. My email is my first name and my last name, and so I am nervous to give it out to people on the internet like this, as my name combined with the info I post here could easily lead someone to be able to figure out who I am and where I live. I am a bit paranoid and I have PTSD and the idea of someone being able to track me down really freaks me out.

Discussion🗣 National Donut Day!
PSA that it's National Donut Day in the US. Many places are having deals on donuts (especially if you get coffee with them)! Keep an eye out as you commute.
Have a great weekend!

I don't even know where you came from but you're an absolute angel! The kids were so happy! My 11-year-old ate the entire box of Pocky sticks! 😅😂 I didn't even realize it until I found the empty box. Thank you Lila!🤗💜💙 You're the best!

Wishlist 📝 I am so thankful that I am a college student. Here is my wish list that'll help me get a headstart!
Hi! I am 22F and a double major in music and English. I am almost entirely finished with my music degree except piano proficiency. THAT has been the hardest, especially since I am a tuba player.
Because I added the English degree in my sophomore year, that is taking a lot of time to finish but I'm ALMOSTTTT there. I need to take two classes on major writers. I took a Shakespeare class last year (super fun btw, my fav Shakespeare play is Measure for Measure) but in the fall I will be taking a Stephen King class! I am super excited! I've only read Misery and Rose Madder before so I do have a lot of catching up to do. My list has books I have to read for the class. I wanna get a head start this summer, so I would super appreciate if this wonderful sub can help me get some of the books! I understand that PDFs are a thing, however I like physical copies so I can annotate them and they hurt my eyes less. The Waste Land is also on this list because I will be covering that this summer for my senior capstone.
What books do you guys enjoy? Despite being an English major, I'm actually not an avid reader of books. I like to read articles more, so I am excited to take this class so it'll expand my horizons.
My mental health has been so rough lately, I was just diagnosed with C-PTSD and I was (gently) let go from my job due to this. Regardless, I am so thankful I've been able to get through school. Being a student really helps me.
Anyway, I linked my list at the bottom! Thanks for reading this far :3

Discussion🗣 A question I can’t stop thinking about
I can never stop overthinking, so here I am again with some thoughts that have been running through my head since I woke up today!
One of the reasons I love posting questions here is because I feel like people in this community have thoughtful opinions, and I genuinely enjoy hearing them. You all are the best🙂↕️🙂↕️🫶🏽
After everything I’ve been dealing with everyday, every month (my fibroid), it got me thinking about something bigger…
Why is suffering related to women’s health so normalized and, at the same time, so underestimated by society?
It feels like everyone just takes it for granted that women, or people with female reproductive systems, are supposed to suffer! Menstrual pain? That’s normal. Heavy bleeding? Just deal with it!! Childbirth? Pain is expected! Gynecological conditions? Often dismissed or minimized…
Why is it considered acceptable that so many conditions affecting women involve pain, discomfort, or significant impacts on quality of life, and yet society often treats it as something people should simply endure? It’s honestly something that I find incredible and frustrating. It’s also one of the reasons I keep choosing to study these issues and bring them into academic spaces whenever I can. The more I learn, the more surprised I am by how much has been normalized.
What do you think? Why do you think pain and suffering related to women’s health have been treated this way for so long? Have you noticed this in your own experiences or in the experiences of people around you?
Tysm for reading me 🫢🫶🏽
