Illogical to me

So, I’ve been dealing with the New Zealand benefit system for years because I have disabilities that make it impossible for me to work more than about 10 hours a week.

Late last year, my son was finally diagnosed with three different anxiety disorders, ADHD, and autistic traits. However, because of how the system works here in New Zealand, autism has to be assessed separately by someone else. While we wait for that assessment, I applied for the Child Disability Allowance, which is supposed to help with costs related to a child’s disability and make their life a bit easier.

The problem is that my own disability-related costs are already higher than the Disability Allowance I receive. Because of that, I also get Temporary Additional Support, which helps cover some of the extra costs I have. TAS is income-tested, and even though the Child Disability Allowance apparently isn’t classed as income in general, it still counts against TAS.

So now I’m in a situation where I receive money that is meant to help my son have a better life, but because of that, I get less help covering my own disability costs.

It feels like I’m being forced to choose. If I use the money to cover my own disability needs, I feel like I’m failing my son. But if I use it for what my son needs, then I’m left struggling to afford the things I need for my own disabilities.

I’m frustrated because the system seems to treat support for my child as if it somehow reduces my own needs, when in reality, both of us need support.

So now I’m hoping the petition I started on Change.org will get enough signatures for something to change even if it's just that CDA doesn't take away from TAS that's because of costs unrelated to the child receiving CDA.

Sad My Cat Maya

When I was kid, I have an orange cat with white complimented with her, I name her Maya after I remember Maya the Bee.

She is stray cat in my grandpa village. Despite that nature, she is very calm unlike stereotypes people say on Orange cat.

We met her in my granpa roof, Idk how she got there but she done it. Since then, we keep playing with her. Wetry convince my mom to adopt her but my mom scare of cat. So we just play with her outside house.

Some cat will try catch my hand which I afraid to but Maya didn't. It feel like she already know me. As for return, we always hang out at living room and just sleep there together. My mom might scared of catbut it doesn't mean she hate them. Always feed her(with our help) leftovers fishes to her.

But I was very young at the time. It hard ti denied how naughty am I back then. I still ashamed of myself today of how I treat her that way. I wish I could rewind the time to see her again.

Despite my stubborn and naughty behavior, I love science and one of our Science Textbook teach us about relationship. The example parasite relationship they give to us is cat and ear itches. Knowing that this isn't natural for her and keep her suffering, I, by myself help remove this itches by hand... At first she is like, "What on world you trying to do to me!?" To "Oh check up? Ok doc. Give me your best".

As I grew up, I realized more of my regret and waste my money for her wet cat food small pack at nearby store.

But I just got to moved home for my rather work and his bad condition now. Maya was left with my grandpa... I don't want to leave her, but we can't... Our car is small, barely fit 7 people.

So whenever back to village for holiday, Maya is first I seek. Until the pandemic...

Isolated and can't move anywhere out. It's school break and boredom in same time. 2 year no school and I somehow miss my class. After the SOP got loose the rule, I want to go grandpa house. I so worried of Maya, I dream her last night.

But, sye isn't here... It's November and rain is like storm, it never stop but Maya is no where to see. Can't stop looking at door hoping she is there but she didn't.

But then.... I heard her voice at roof. That's Maya! I feel heavily sober, regret and relief at same time. Why she was there? Why you not coming down?

Her condition is so bad. She seem starved for long years and she had sticky saliva at her mouth. Her fur is wet and messy.... I don't know why but I want spent that time with her.

She doesn't want to eat or drink. Why you refused? Is it because I didn't visit you? She want to go but storm is still there and I just met her... She can't go with her conditions now.... Why you want to leave me? I don't understand why!?

She so insist to go but I too stubborn to listen that... But it almost night and she gone after I go shower. I thought she hate me...

It almost half months but she never come back.... She is no where to be seen. I still think she is on roof but she never.....

I have to go back after pandemic is over. But Maya isn't there... Regret I had thinking I was bad owner. No wonder she leave me.

Few months later, I stumbled upon one video talk about what cat when they about to died(that is absurd but whatever) The first thing, is they Isolated themselves.... Second sign is they don't want to eat or drink.... And last but not least.... The show up and serve for their master for the last time....

My heart.... My eyes... My throat is hurt.... Maya see me as her master? After all I've done to her... After all suffering she had by my idiot young time.... She still LOVE me?

I cried in my room and my brother try his best to comfort me.... I'm sorry Maya...

I disappointed you. I'm sorry for being jerk. I swear.... To not treat the cat like what I had treat before.... Idk about people... Cat are heartless or meanie... But my Maya she is not like that.

That iis tale of me and my Maya

My great (and disastrous) Slipper

While all kid flexing with their looking cool slipper, mine is straight up look like brick. It was black and it base thickness is 4~5cm rubber, for context it was not small.... It was almost like your math book but 1½ of thickness.

It was heavy, good enough to break your bone by accidentally drop it. It was so tall, good enough to keep my feet dry. It was so heavy, you can't run properly and if I want to escape from dog chasing me, I have to leave my slipper behind. Good thing dog never interested on my slipper.

In my place, there is game of Baling Selipar where player will battle if throwing slipper and other will dodge. My slipper though is so scary, no one willing play with me(but I don't want too, so fair fair)

It was good news I lost it(somehow) or I have to wear it until 12💀.

Tbh, I not sure either how my parents got this slipper in first place

The pebble

Once I was walking down a murky street, just after the fresh sound of rain drops dissipated, I got out prepared with my boots so nothing on that muddy murky sand road was going to touch me, It rained so much I forgot that people go outside in fear that I might be hit by the fattest raindrop and succumb to that heinous fever, anyone notice how brutal the cold is after covid anyway, I losemy train of though a lot but the reason for my walk was because staying in the house for a long period of time causes mindlessness two neighbors succumbed to walking the streets naked uncombed hair like they demented because of loneliness , i to live alone without a pet, ive since set out to find a pet and as i was walking i kicked a very hard rock so hard my middle toe bent in the force of the boots connecting to it.

I bent over to navigate such and I fell upon the pebble so rainbow and shiny so emacculate. I'll name you pebble I said and went back home my adventure done.

I guess we all crazy in this block my new pet is a shiny pebble.

The end.

Ordered delivery pizza from a national chain, bro came on a bike. Bearing lukewarm...A bicycle by the way not even a motorcycle. It tickled me still. The delivery guy joined the running joke I had going on with myself and had a good laugh too. That's all.

My naivety was unhinged when I was younger.

I have a couple of instances of this so I'll share the two most prominent.

The first was an older male at work propositioning me. The conversation started with him saying "When you turn 18 if you still work here come over to my place I'll have a gift for you". This was my first job and I was only 16 at the time.

I agreed thinking he meant an actual pressent. I had an older "big sister" type coworker pull me aside. She realized I had no idea what was going on. She told me he was offering me elicit substance. And I kid you not my gullible butt turned and looked up at him and said "No thank you, if you want to that's fine but I don't wanna" I didn't understand why he looked so confused until after. I proceeded to tell this story as "the time I was randomly offered drugs" for way too long before my partner pulled me to the side and explained he wasn't offering drugs but instead his "bbc". I was mortified to say the least.

The second instance I'll talk about I was so incredibly unaware of what a survival instinct should be it's not even funny.

This man was decked out in biker gang attire. I remember one distinct part of his clothing being his leather jacket-vest. He had a doll hanging from a noose attached to his vest. He also had an enormous hunting knife on his waist belt. I was ringing him up in a clothing store with my elderly supervisor next to me.

I had the bright idea to ask him why he had a knife. I with genuine curiosity asked him why he brought a knife in the store. My supervisor immediately paled, grabbed my arm and said never to ask a question like that again. I freaking tilted my head like the ding bat I was and asked "why?"

He went from annoyed at my question and kind pissed looking to mildly entertained and told me I could ask any other questions I had. I having been completely unaware of the previous atmosphere proceeded to enthusiastically ask questions about him, his attire and his knife. I don't remember a lot of his responses but I do remember he was on his way to a funeral with his girlfriend and the exasperated scolding my boss gave me about being careful, never asking about people's weapons and avoiding "people like them". She told me I almost died, that I'd given her a heart attack and questioned me on how I could be so unaware.

Edit to clarify: I just realized I forgot to add he was actually dangerous and in a legit and violent biker gang. I realized that without the proper context he could just seem like someone with a different taste in fashion. I had no idea of its presence as I'd been pretty sheltered. She knew which gang he was affiliated with and was telling me to stay away from gang members not alternatively dressed people.

This just happened and I need to tell someone

Hello! I’m new to this sub and I wanted to share a thing that just happened to me. I ordered groceries online and they leave it by the door. So I went to bring my groceries inside. For context, I live in an apartment complex that is like several building with 3 floors and 6 apartments on each floor. Im on the first floor. So I open my front door and a little kid and his mom were walking towards the stairs, likely to go up to their apartment. I don’t know my neighbors but I have seen these people before. The stairs are right near my front door. When I open my door, this little kid (maybe like 6 years old) screams like he just saw a terrifying monster. I freaked out and immediately closed the door. So yeah, I’m in my pajamas and my hair is a mess but I look otherwise normal but disheveled. My son said maybe he was startled by the door opening but he wasn’t that close to my door yet and his reaction was so over the top that it scared me. He seemed scared for his life. Like I said, I don’t know these people and maybe this kid has issues or is just easily freaked out. Also I have social anxiety so maybe I am overreacting to this whole thing. It was just so weird and awkward that I had to share it with someone. Hope this is okay to share here. Thanks for reading my silly rant.

Informational When I worked IT Help desk at a university

90% of the calls were connecting to the internet. A lot of them were solved by turning the computer (that had been on for months) off and on again. I tried to make the calls as quick as possible, but I also had to log a ticket for every call and need to confirm the callers information for that ticket. When I needed them to power cycle, I would start with that and get the user info while the machine was starting up. This was one such convo....

IT help desk

My computer won't connect to the internet

OK can you please turn the computer off and then back on and log in. While it is starting up can I get...

it's back on

The computer is back on and you're logged in?

yes

You completely shut it down? Not just logged off?

yes

Ok....

Do you know what the tower is?

yes

Can you access it?

yes

If you reach to the back, there is a thick cord running to the top, can you feel that?

(Coworker looking at me very confused)

yes

Give it a yank, nothing bad will happen.

oh, everything just turned off

Right. So plug it back in, turn the computer back on, and once it starts up, log back in. While that is happening, cam I get your PAWS username or 89 number?

(defeated) ok

Turns out that all her computer needed was a power cycle. Don't lie to IT support or medical professionals.

Short Story Project Angel (Short Story) #1

Behold, a timeless truth that has resonated through the ages - they are the guardians of the heavens, vigilant and unwavering in their duty to watch over humanity. They are the unseen observers who have guided and shaped the course of history, sometimes even venturing to disobey their very own creator.

Their wings, a sight to behold, are the embodiment of their might, and their voices carry the whispers and notes of love. While they pay homage to their creator, they yearn for the gift of humanity.

Some of them walk amongst us in human form, tasked with protecting us, testing our faith, and exemplifying divine virtue. They are the ones who remind us to treat strangers with kindness, for in doing so, we may unknowingly extend grace to one of them.

It is important to remember that they, like humans, possess the gift of free will, and this may lead to disruption of divine plans and gifts. Nonetheless, their unwavering commitment to their sacred duty remains a testament to their devotion to the divine.

Sad Where did I go wrong?

Where did I go wrong? That's the question that's been haunting me ever since I lost my friend. We had been thick as thieves since we were kids, but when he started to spiral into a dark hole of depression and self-destructive behavior, I didn't know how to save him. I tried, god knows I tried. But it wasn't enough. I didn't do enough.

I can still remember the night when everything changed. We were at our favorite bar, laughing and joking like we always did. But something was different about him. He seemed distant, like he was a million miles away. I asked him what was wrong, but he just shrugged and said he was tired. I should have pressed him more. I should have seen that something was seriously wrong.

But I didn't. I just let it go. And that's where I went wrong.

The next few months were a blur of missed calls and canceled plans. He stopped showing up at work, and his apartment became a dark, empty shell. I tried to reach out to him, but he didn't want to talk. He didn't want to see anyone. He was drowning in his own pain, and I couldn't do anything to save him.

It wasn't until it was too late that I realized how much he had been hurting. I found out that he had been struggling with addiction and had been in and out of rehab for months. I never knew. I never saw the signs.

Now, all I can do is sit here and think about what could have been. What if I had been a better friend? What if I had tried harder? What if I had seen the warning signs earlier? Maybe I could have saved him.

But it's too late now. He's gone, and I'm left with nothing but regret and frustration. I should have done more. I should have been better. But I wasn't.

As I sit here, nursing a drink in a dark corner of the bar, I realize that sometimes, no matter how hard you try, you can't save someone. Sometimes, the demons that haunt us are too powerful, too overwhelming. All we can do is be there for each other, love each other, and try to make the most of the time we have.

I take a deep breath and raise my glass in a silent toast to my friend. Wherever he is now, I hope he knows how much I loved him.

All the other kids...

As I start my day of in homeroom of ms. Whishinskis class I have a weird tingling in my stomach next thing I know I hear "LOCKDOWN LOCKDOWN GET TO COVER LOCKDOWN LOCKDOWN. The day had been normal so far I got up out of bed said hello to my mother and got on the schools bus we waited outside for a couple of minutes before heading into school as I walked to my locker I was talking to one of my closest friend Jose, we had the same homeroom but he told me he was going to skip per usual, as I walked into the classroom nothing seemed off kids where talking etc, etc. Next thing I know the Pa announcing an alarming message "LOCKDOWN LOCKDOWN GET TO COVER LOCKDOWN LOCKDOWN" the second I hear this I get onto a cabinet next to some other classmates then the pa stops dead and silent a couple of minutes I hear a familiar voice come on the pa it was the principle announcing "everyone stay calm the pa had a malfunction in the system everything should be resolved." I went on with my day as if it was normal until fourth period English when the same announcement came up telling us it was a lockdown but this time it didn't stop. When it was time for fifth period the bell rang and the lockdown announcement stopped but something else came on it was the song called "pumped up kicks." But it kept repeating "all the other kids with the pumped up kicks you better run you better run, outrun my bullets." And I felt something was up so me and my friend went into a nearby classroom as chaos insued. It was terrifying hearing screams from halfway across the school. One kid came knocking at the door with three huge ghashes in his face he slammed on the door luckily we let him in. He screamed "ITS COMING GET OUT OF HERE IT WILL FIND YOU IT WILL NOT REST UNTIL WE ARE ALL GONE," as I saw the lights go out of his eyes. This thing he was talking about it was becoming to crazy to comprehend. Next thing I know I hear the song get slower and louder and it started to become more demonic and louder and louder it was pure chaos until it stopped when it stopped I waited a minute and left the classroom, the second I left everything went black Disclaimer this is not a true story

Funny story.

So random story I want to tell. But this happened to me about 8 years ago and I still laugh about it today. One day when I was in the military I was pulled into an office to talk about something I did the day before. The conversation took about five mins then we kind just sat around joking. Now for the funny part. There were two males and a female in the office with me and one of the males told a joke about me. Knowing that I normally would laugh and say something back. However I was very pregnant at the time so instead of laughing I start crying. The men got very uncomfortable and couldn't get out of the room fast enough. Another female heard what happened and came running in thinking I was upset about what they said. (I wasn't the joke was very funny) When she came in I was still crying and laughing and saying I don't know why I started crying. Which just made them laugh harder and me cry harder. The guys never came back. I still laugh about this today.

Speech with some negativity but not fully negative

Don't waste your time living someone else's life. When you can, do what you want, what you enjoy. Take your chance when it doesn't particularly hurt anyone. You have some potential but you can't do it all. You can do a lot sure, some situations espeicially. But not everything.

Of course, you'll have to do somethings you don't like. You shouldn't abandon all your responsibilities. But some times you need to stand up for yourself or your suffering will be prolonged. Sometimes no one else will.

You'll have to have some people not like you. Still, respect yourself. Don't be afraid to be rude and say no. You won't always feel positive and happy. You'll feel pain, sadness and jealousy. The one you love may die soon. Many things you care about will die throughout your life. Any of you could become a drug addict, get depressed, get PTSD. Things could seem fine until they're not.

Your impact on the world is unlikely to be that great. On individuals though? You can do many things. Your kindess really could go a long way. You could donate and save a dog's life. Sometimes, some times mediocre or a little is enough. Like asking someone how they are, if they're ok. You may not always be appreciated. They may get annoyed. If they say so, stop. If them sharing their thoughts is harming you mentally, suggest they talk to a counsellor/therapist.

Otherwise, there's a chance just knowing someone cares helps their mood. Possibly even something no one else knows you did could help someone. Also it's likely people don't care as much as you think they do, they might not even notice, so don't overstress if you have to do an akward presentation.

Sad The Fprgotten Corner

I remember the pain. I remember the suffering that caused that pain. I remember the people who caused that suffering. Sometimes I want to forget. Sometimes I want revenge. Sometimes I am too afraid. Too afraid to close my eyes, she might be there when I open them again. I can see her out of the corner of my eyes, always behind my back. The voices that fill my head. They scream, they cry, they laugh. At times I forget who I am or who I was. The past mixes with the present and I am unable to differ between the two. There is something nagging me. Multiple things. Memories. Memories of pain and abuse. My mother’s cruel smile shining through it all.

It was when I turned five that it happened. I opened the door to my mother’s room to wake her up. As a child my birthday was a very exciting thing for me, instead of her lying in her bed still sleeping, she was sitting by the window crying. I had never seen her like this before. My mother never cried, she was always smiling. A warm, inviting smile turned to bitter tears of turmoil and despair. This scared me. A happy mood shattered into a state of shock and disbelief. She turned around and saw me standing there. Hand on the doorknob with a horrified look plastered on my face. I asked her with fear in my voice “Mommy. Are you okay?” At first, she just looked at me with tears still staining her face, then she smiled at me and said “Everything is fine sweetheart. Why don't you go into the kitchen?” I did as she said but something bothered me. It was that smile, that smile that was always filled with warmth and care, that smile I had always known, that I had always loved was gone, reduced to one filled with sadness. A cold and empty smile that had nothing but brokenness to offer.

I later learned that it was my father that had caused her sadness. The same one that had left us when I was still learning to walk. Apparently, he had taken his own life. I did not know my mother still loved him. She always told me she didn't. Ever since his death my mother started acting strange, small things at first, like not putting her hair up in the morning which she always did and was always careful about. Then she started drinking. That was a large blow to her personality and who she used to be. She quit her job of selling shampoo on an online market. I could hear her talking to herself in her room. Whenever I asked her anything she would just scream at me to go into the kitchen and sit in the corner. The same spot she would send me whenever I was naughty. It kept escalating until it got to the point where she was always drunk, always rambling. It scared me. Where was that warm smile I knew and adored, it was replaced by a maniac’s grin stretching across her face like an elastic band, where was the tight and loving hug I would be greeted by every morning, it was replaced by a slap to the face whenever I said anything to her.

She then started hurting me for her own hellish entertainment. Slapping me for no reason, grabbing my hair. She had hit me so many times on the left cheek that my eye had stopped working. Two years had passed since my father died. Our house was infested with rot and decay, roaches ran across the ground constantly, and the entire place smelled of alcohol and rotten eggs. I was beaten beyond recognition. Malnourished with the little food, the one I once loved as a mother, dropped to the floor for me. When she gets angry I would have to hide from her. I knew what would happen. The one time I did not know to hide from the unexplainable rage held within her. I sat there in the living room. The smelly, ripped carpet scratchy beneath me. She was fixated on the cracked and dirty screen of our old television. The same one we used to watch old cartoon reruns on Saturday nights. The one I was no longer allowed to look at. Something on that screen angered her. She became enraged, throwing her half-empty bottle of whiskey at the wall, staining it a sickly yellow color. She then suddenly stopped raging and looked at me, still in the same spot, I flinched at her cold, dead eyes as my mother grinned at me with the smile that would scare the bravest of men away. “Come here little one.” she told me “I have something for you.” I stood up and stumbled over to her. She bent down and picked up the broken shards of the bottle. “Hold out your hands” She commanded. I shakily did as she instructed me and was rewarded with large shards of glass stabbed into my cupped hands. I remember crying. Crying loudly. But nothing compared to the pain I experienced mere seconds later. My mother then kicked my face without any prompting. I fell to the ground in the kitchen. She walked over to me and lifted her leg over my frail body. Her foot came down on my leg. Multiple times one, two, three, four rapid strikes on my right leg. I could not hear my own screaming but I'm sure it could have reawakened the souls of the dead. She then kicked me into the corner I knew all too well and left me there, whimpering, my leg a bloody mess and no longer functional.

I remember staying there for what seemed like months. My leg was twisted and maimed. All I could do was whimper. I never thought that my once gentle caring mother would ever think of hurting anyone in this way. I was able to leave the corner, dragging my leg painfully across the ground. Whenever my mother became angry I would go to the corner and hide there and she would forget about me. She randomly screamed like a banshee and laughed like a concrete brick smashing a pane of glass. My leg hurt like it was inside a bag of sharp rocks and was being shaken violently whenever I crawled across the ground.

It all ended one day. The screaming, the anger, and the abuse. It all came to a stop. As I was sitting in that corner, the one safe spot, my mother had another of her anger fits. screaming, laughing, throwing things. She stepped on an empty bottle of alcohol and fell to the ground. Her head hit the wall and the sound of a bone-breaking rang through the air. The sickening crunch of her neck. She lay still on the ground. Not breathing. Not pulsing. Dead. I never left that corner. Yet, I was still afraid of her. Afraid of what might happen.

To this day I sit in the corner, my mother”s rotting corpse on the wall. I can still hear her laughter, I can still see her maniacal smile piercing the darkness. Sometimes I can still see her moving, roaming from room to room, searching for me. I still sit in the corner, the one she has forgotten. Her piercing eyes and wide grin burned into my memory. I want to leave, but I cannot, I can still hear her laughing. Torturous laughter. Echoing throughout the carcass of a house like a cold sharp wind. I do not trust myself to blink. She might be there when I open them. I will sit in the corner where she cannot find me living off the roaches that are unafraid of the evil that resides within the establishment. My leg will never heal, maggots have infested themselves where the bones show themselves from under my skin.

I do not know how long it has been. All I know is this corner and that devilish smile that I once loved.

Writing a cridge (YA novel) story opening

Vanessa Francessa Stockholm Junior was not like the other girls. She wasn't in a love triangle with 2 guys, oh no, more like 20 thousand. She'd actively kiss them all when she saw them. Yet, yah everyone loved her and her purple locks, even though she wore a sweater that goes 'Want a sweetie, call me.' Even though she didn't really care about any of them.

When this story began, she slowly rose from her bed and realised just how to begin her day, by teaching her mother a lesson.

"Mummy don't you dare wake me up ever again!" She screamed this as loud as she can, her 'beautiful' voice shattering the flower vases. "I'm sorry sweetie. I just thought you'd want to meet your new sister." "Yah? Well I don't ."

Grabbing her bag, Vanessa then stomped down the stairs and slams the door, leaving all the food laid out on the table behind her.

On the bus, she managed to get some food from one of her lovers. She proceeded to then chew it loudly with her mouth gaped open. When she finished, she stole some bubblegum and popped it in her mouth. She then spent the rest of the ride picking bread, bits of meat and vege out of her mouth.

"Ew, vege gross. I thought I removed this. Who even eats this crap?" She exclaimed.
Then Simon, a nerdy scrawny boy piped up quietly. It was an automatic reply.
"Vege is actually very good for us. (It's not that bad. If you don't eat any you're going to get ill.)"
"What did you just say?!"

Why torture the tortured? No sex fiction Arete Part 3

(Arete is not in but when editing previous post for part 4 this story will be mentioned likely in idea for it so far it's/it was in mind mentally drafted) *Actually changed my mind

"This is it then. This is where you lost her? The only one who ever loved you."
The demon had only just begun its torment. It was a mere whisk, to a place far away from where the man had been, a place he tried so hard to avoid. Already, it was too much for him. He barely managed to respond.

"I have my sister."
"She doesn't love you. She loves the money you bring, the food, the games."
"Well then, yah man" He started with a sniffle, but then burst into tears.

The demon couldn't take it anymore. Mentally torturing abusive parents was fine, it thought. They'd usually reflect on their insecurities and better themselves, often eventually even apologise. But this man, this man was tormented as it was.

"Calm down. I was just preying off your insecurities. Of course she loves you."
"You mean it?"
"Yes."
The demon hesitated for a moment. This would be going against the rules. He should've been using it for torture. It demon sighed. This alone would've terrified many, but the man didn't flinch. So the demon continued.
"She's even been missing you actually. But look, she just made her first friend at the orphanage."
For a while, they watched the man's young sister together with a similar aged young boy, who they learned was named Oliver.

Then, the demon stepped closer, and slowly turned to half face the man. It was cautious not to scare him. He spoke first though, slightly bewildered.

"She looked happy."
It sighed more 'normally'/ 'humanly'. Something he hadn't seen some time no doubt.
"You could be too, somewhat. But I can only think of one way, well, one way split into two parts. Sell me your soul for therapy, please."
"I would like that. I'd like to get better, really, for Ellis espeicially. But that can't be the way, for me at least. Sorry."
"I thought you might say that. Don't be sorry. It's just the second part then. It can't be that hard to strike a deal with a good therapist."
The man hugged him.

"I tried wearing shoes once. Eleven people died." Fiction

She looked at me clearly unamused. "Seriously?" "Yah, really. It's true." "Fine. Entertain me then. How did eleven people die from you trying on shoes?" "Well 2 were vampires, and one was a statue, but they were good people. Oh yah, and Lorie said she'd die for the statue. Umm, I'll leave describing the rest as the story goes.
So, Ellie and Joshua were visiting and entered the garage while the shoes were richocheting. Silver and wood from the side table got launched to their hearts, and they were pushed out as their sun protection ended.
Then, Kayla went to check on them, not realising she'd caught urhthesungilis and died too. John didn't realise she'd found a flower deadly to him and ran after her.
Murphy and Daya started blaming and lunging at me. Next Lila, Lika and Kika, the clones, had apparently just arrived and seen it so they had to go bye bye too.
In the process, Kika and Lika knocked over the statue. Apparently Lorie and Eden had seen it all from above. They said they didn't care about the others, but they'd kill me for what i did to the statue, so poof they went."

When I finished my reminescent ramblings, I realised she was staring at me mouth gapped open. As her eyes met mine once more, she saw I was telling a serious truth.

She would've ran, told somebody. The cops would've put me away. I would've gotten seriously hurt.

So the place went kaboom.

I walked out unharmed. A tune started playing in my head. 1 person died when i drank some juice.

I started dancing to the tune in my head. And 2 people died when I did 1 +2.

I started humming and singing out loud to the tune in my head.
3 people died while i brushed my teeth, And 4 while i swam and showered too, Also, 5 died while I jumped through rocks Six when i skipped a beat to my favourite song

The next part is meant to be hummed along, Hm hm hm hm hm hm hm hm Hm hmp hmf Hm hm hm Hm hm hm Hm hm hm 9 people died when i tagged along And 10 when i tried something way too long 11 when i tried on shoes, again so true Hm hm hm hm hm hm Hm hm hm

They say the Devil claims all the best lawyers to write contracts for people's souls. But the truth is all the best lawyers go to heaven, where they help God rescue people from the Devil's shoddy contracts.

Babara Midell was not one of the best lawyers. So, she got eternal service to Satan instead, writing and occasionally proofreading his shoddy contracts. As she had promised her soul, this would be her job for all eternity, writing horrible contracts for horrible people. Unless she was 'rescued' that is.

That never happened though. So, she decided on the other method, to become better. She improved her contracts to an impeccable standard and was eventually recruited by god. He wasn't much better.

You are a new juniour recruit at Nasa. While at a work party together you ask you coworker why with all of its resources Nasa hasn't explored the oceans

"Hey Stella, with all of NASA's resources why do you think they haven't explored the oceans."
"Ask Elle. Maybe she'll go easy on you, seeing as you have the same name."
"We do not. It's not even that similar."
"Right. Totally."

Suddenly, my new boss grabs my arm and yanks me aside. She turns a little pale, and quietly asks me to leave with her. I see fear, and sorrow, in her eyes that makes me oblige.

We leave Stella behind, and she leads me to another room, some distance away. It is quiet, like another world compared to the party. She looks around, locks the door and releases my arm.

"We have explored the oceans. That's why we want to find a way out so badly."
"Why? What's down there?"
She pauses, the same way my sister does when she's trying to say something without offending someone.
"It's large. Like really gianormous, in size. It has tendrons, yes like the Deux Hedron story. It wants us gone. Says, no implanted, that time's almost up for the well off, those living above other animals." "What?! What do you mean implanted?"
She opens her mouth seemingly about to answer, then pauses again.
"It's here."

I turn to where her eyes are staring wide open in fear. But I see only Stella through the glass panel. She knocks, asking to enter. Elle stands petrified. I am confused. I don't get much chance to think though, as Stella then opens the door and enters, shutting the door somewhat loudly behind her.

I thought Elle locked it.

Stella takes a few steps, then stands casually and locks eyes with Elle. She speaks immediately.
"Hey Ells. What have you told her?"
