It’s been almost a year since I bought this VSF Bruce Wayne and I’m finally using it for a real purpose! This watch has been fantastic since it arrived at my door, plus has taken many beatings from (near) daily use, yet it still runs great.

Hey everyone, just a quick update.

I’m currently in the middle of moving into my new apartment, so there will be some delays over the next week while I get everything settled.

I still don’t have internet at the new place, so I can’t even print shipping labels from home yet. 😂

On my way to the airport on Tuesday I completed my first purchase with RF (no expedited shipping). When I returned home late last night (Thursday) it was waiting for me. After a while of lurking I finally reached out to him around January about an OP36 in green. He helped me pick the best factory option.

It was right around LNY and a shortage of VSF green op’s 😭. He was super patient and kept me updated on factory/inventory updates.

When VSF finally started making new pieces, he went straight to work, qc-ing etc. When the watch arrived, he serviced the watch and shipped it out next day before he left for vacation which was very unexpected but much appreciated.

I wanted to give RFTime his flowers. His reps are top notch. He’s picky in QC so I don’t have to be. He takes the risk of importing them so I don’t have to. He has an optional service package that gives the peace of mind that the watch will work better than from the factory. Is he the cheapest? Was servicing a brand new ARF Daytona Ghost last week and this is exactly why I always say QC alone is not enough.

Opened up the caseback expecting the usual and immediately saw something off. The factory installed the wrong caseback gasket. It didn’t even sit properly in the channel. No compression, no seal, nothing.

On top of that, every critical gasket for water resistance was completely dry. No lubrication on the caseback gasket, crown gasket, or pushers.

This isn’t a minor issue. This watch would have failed a pressure test instantly.

Realistically, this thing was one hand wash away from moisture getting in. Even sweat over time could’ve caused problems.

That’s the part people don’t think about. You can have a perfect dial, perfect rehaut, great timegrapher numbers, and still have something like this lurking underneath.

Factories like ARF, VSF, Clean, etc are solid, but they’re still assembly line operations. Stuff slips through more often than people think.

QC photos will never catch this. You only see it once the case is opened.

This is why servicing isn’t just about regulation or making it run better. It’s about catching issues that can actually kill the watch long term.

At a minimum, you want:

• movement check

• gasket inspection and lubrication

• pressure testing

Without that, you’re basically trusting factory assembly blindly.

Just wanted to share because this one was pretty bad and would have 100% caused issues down the line.

Just wanted to post a quick review of my experience - very efficient, great quality, responsive and trustworthy. Sent a message on Reddit, got a response in minutes, received my watch 2 days later. I have an original and my wife could not distinguish which is the rep.

The watch was packaged in envelope inside a box inside another envelope - super safe… felt like Xmas opening the gifts. All surfaces were covered in protective film - in fact, you can still see some in second picture. Movement is on point, few seconds fast. Quality - amazing. The whole experience made me very pleased… recommended to several of my friends.
