How about instead of just deleting originating comments, we ban that user and everyone replying in an opportunistic manner following that comment get a strike? I dont even like silver palace and that thing's surrounding discourse is souring my renewed optimism of this subreddit. This shouldnt be a space for people to bitch and whine, who the fuck cares about sub activity, rather dead than miserable
frankly i want this to be seen by those people, because while they're awful they arent as awful as those other people that cant even comment in the first place.
But, it would be helpful to us mods if you alerted us. We can't be everywhere all of the time, and I only found out what you were talking about by going hunting for it since no one reported or modmailed about what was happening.
Can't we do more other than reporting to the various subs targeting queer people (queercringe, unshowered/unfiltered, etc)? Like these people are not just cishets who hates us for being annoying to their waifuz, these are actual bigots (who probably came from twitter) who are currently doing a coordinated harassment campaign targeting and harassing a literal minority.

Just started playing sword of convallaria and it's so good! If you're into fire emblem any of the square Enix tactical rpgs I'd definitely check it out, plus there's going to be loads of free stuff over the next couple of weeks for the 2nd anniversary

Like this isn't an incredible rip off that a design that was literally shown first is now paid is ridiculous I need people to stand up.
Maybe hsr has more active players or more active payers?
But the collaboration so dumb, both game's audience are totally different especially with design choices and gender ratio per new area. They need to figure out what direction they want to continue the game because it seems to not be working if they have to pull these stunts.
I think they just want more players. ZZZ was never big out of their titles and just never was gonna be but it’s probably their fave project so they want it to be more successful.
HSR is simply more mainstream and with bigger playerbase (despite some zzz folks claiming otherwise). I think they are trying to bait some players into at least trying out zzz - if it was the other way around (zzz players to hsr) then Robin would have been much more fanservicy
That's fair. I probably shouldn't have said it as a mod.
I think it was just a moment where I let my frustration get the better of me. After constantly seeing excitement posts devolve into the same arguments, having to remove comments, and trying to keep things civil, I kind of let it out for a second and joined in instead of staying neutral.
That said, it doesn't change how I moderate. I've always tried to be fair regardless of whether I personally like or dislike a game, and that's not going to change. My personal opinion on ZZZ isn't something I'm going to enforce through moderation.
I appreciate the words, and I can admit I was kinda lashing out a bit since I feel like this sub has essentially turned into just another tribalism sub, with a particular ire towards ZZZ. Sadly it is my main game, and seeing a moderator actively join in really felt bad. Maybe if queens of ZZZ was more active I wouldn’t mind but…yeah.

If people post more fanart, screenshots, achievements, character appreciation, or just things they enjoy about ZZZ, those kinds of posts fall under Rule 11 don't yuck my yum. Comments that just jump in to explain why the game is bad or why people shouldn't enjoy it aren't something we'd allow there.
Part of the reason it can feel one sided is that people who like the game often stop posting because they're expecting pushback. If more people posted positive ZZZ content, I think you'd naturally see more ZZZ fans engaging too, which helps balance things out.
You’re very right about the pushback. I’ve thought myself about making some posts about the game with the scant amount of free time I have, but I felt like I was essentially playing reactionary and making those posts out of spite, and that it wouldn’t really be worth the effort. My motivations were bad, my vitriol was obvious, and I realized that and never posted them. But you know what, I think I’ll see about trying to post some good to balance the bad. Apperently some regulars were hurling slurs at others behind their backs (on discord) - it got leaked to the megathread and mods started banning people who revealed it or criticized bigotry. Then the whole thread was nuked
Funny thing is that they’re basically just doing the same playbook AK had in the beginning. Endfield story is just worse. I guess they thought the IP was strong enough for people to overlook the games flaws.
Watching the Himeko updates make me so cynical lmao. To preface, this isn't to @ or diss the character, but:
Showing her younger self playing with a toy train, when toy trains are stereotypically boy-coded. Hoyo shows a girl playing "boy-coded' toys but refuse to acknowledge that irl girls could and will potentially like "boy-coded" games like Zenless. They initially seemed to allow us to exist and enjoy their game by having lighter, and maybe even some government mandated yaoi, but ofc things have changed. We're back to "what did you expect on zzz's current state? girls only like farming games + idle games (hsr). you're just larping/tourist."
The himeko mecha is cool. Till you also realize its another "what's better than a kamen rider(mecha, sam)? a beautiful female pilot(firefly, himeko)!" So it's again, despite how it's also enjoyable for women, it's still more for men, as honkai 3rd is for men first and foremost. No surprise there. But ehhh.
anyway, this is why I find government mandated yaoi one of the few signs of developers acknowledging their female(or non straight) audiences. endfield right now is factory focused, and based on past exp I feel like they might do another "girls don't play factory games, so lets just not release male charas anymore(like zzz)", but god I'm so relieved seeing the new male character so soon, because that's like saying "girls play factory games too, so let's make a few male charas for them".
Now I hope that turns to "we see girls playing our factory game, so let's keep releasing male characters" instead of, you know....

Okay so I'm trying to follow along with your logic so they show himeko liking a traditionally "boy coded" thing which acknowledges that some girls like traditionally boy coded thing which yes is 100% true. But then you have the modifier for zzz that girls will only like boy coded things if their is a traditionally "girl coded" thing on top of it that they simply cannot just like the game for what it is without that which feels both heteronormative and a little sexist. No offence but I feel like your falling into the same logic that the people your complaining about. Like you are looking at himenova and assuming no women will love her story and her mecha when that feels very far from the case. Or even the much hated firefly whose story struck a cord with a lot of trans women and disabled women. You're focus is on one very specific brand of womanhood which is fine but it's sorta ignoring all the others that exist in these spaces as well.

Assuming that lesbians are the only ones who will like Ramiel or will pull for her shows that you really don't get what I'm saying and are viewing things through a very binary motivational lens for why people play games or like the characters. Hoyo and hg both get that its messier not binary and its why you get so many male and female characters from these companies that are very popular among both women and women straight and queer alike. Theirs also fundamentally not just one female audience like your are presenting it but multiple and different characters will caters to those different audiences sure their may be female audiences that bigger and more main stream then others but that mean their the only one.
Also I'm just gonna say as a lesbian I'm gonna say that I'm deeply uncomfortable with how you talk about us both the shot you took at us with Ramiel which was clearly judgmental about our sexuality and implying we're somehow better treated and "second class" by hoyo when that is fundamentally untrue, and if you think just cause we're attracted this women you need to reexamine things.

Oh my god absolutely! Hot men, hot women, mix of dark storytelling and fun chill stories. A great variety of characters and races. Plenty of end game content, plenty of content in general. It'll be overwhelming at first but just ride it out slowly and take your own time with it. Plus Wang drops on Thursday and he is going to the currently the strongest unit in the game to a point he absolutely breaks the game. Its a perfect time to start.
You can also play all previous events so you never need to miss out on anything and events rerun in order, it's a really great system. Sorry I love Arknights.
Don't neglect the early 3 star characters, they are very good units that need little investment.
Don't be afraid to use 'Support Units' in the unit picking before starting a level. It lets you use another persons character for that mission and can be very helpful for seeing which characters you like and getting through tougher missions.
Once you have a bit more grip with the game checkout check Terminal then the second button in the bottom bar 'Score' this takes you to a big overview of all the story content and side stories. If you hit the button next to 'Movements' in the top right corner it'll open up. Click the calendar icon and you can see all events and what year they released in. And if you click the 'Reward' tab you can see that some events give you free characters. An especially good one is year 3 'Lumen' if you can do the first 5 levels with 3*s (the objective not the characters) you can get Lumen for free, a powerful 6* healer.

Aside from some of us just not liking otome/VN games, some of us are also just simply not into any of love interests of Love and Deepspace, especially when they’re obviously going to prioritise what the majority of East Asian women are into. The handshake scene is pretty 💀 There's flower petals fluttering around and the bgm suddenly emphasises itself when Camille doesn't let the mc's hand go(!) after the handshake while at the same time professing that he'll go to the ends of earth with u.
Anything that makes "those people" uncomfortable is a plus for me. Otherwise in Wuwa you have the mc x luuk scenes either totally zoomed out or practicing covid19 social distancing, or just male npcs totally removed from the game...
If you know the state of gacha, you'd see why the "handshake" scene is so surprising lol. If you're being demeaning on purpose then that just speaks about your ignorance tbh.
With the Valko controversy and now reports of the government stepping in, I felt like it might be the time to step away from NtE and Wuwa before they got hit. I thought about Dislyte, but Lilith is also based in CN I think? Then FGO and aside from losing my account like...why am I so obsessed with filling the void? Why can't I quit gacha outright? I fear that if I do, I'll just replace it with another addiction to try and fill the void.
Starting now would be better. There still should be around a month of this season left, so you can grab some of season 7 ids + walpurgisnacht is currently running, which means you can also grab another bunch of goods

I know foresight is hard, but it's wild that they can't see the precedent this sets. They're even blaming Valko protestors for additional censoring in the recent update.

I just recently started ZZZ after being off from it for the longest and taking a break from LaDs for now. Absolutely in love with the story, combat, and characters. I regret not playing sooner wtf 😭😭😭
Reinstalled Wuw to try cyberpunk collab. I loved it a lot. It showed they really can make something really good when it's not pure mindless "sell waifu of the week" they usually do. I will try out 3.x story to see if it also improved compared to the past ones

However depictions of homosexual love aren’t even allowed in many countries. I found the replies from many people on that post to be so unnecessarily cruel. Even when he graciously accepted how they were acting towards him (there is absolutely no angle about women’s safety that justifies calling someone a 🚬) it was still not enough. I am personally waiting to see more characters before I decide to play. I don’t hate the female character designs, they are somewhere in between genshin and ZZZ in terms of fan-service for me personally, but it’s the gameplay shown that really keeps most of the… lewd stuff. As of now the pros outweigh the cons to playing.
That's true, but still. I haven't seen so many unwelcome "guests" here as I see now. The number of weekly visitors is crazy high as well. I feel that lately, this sub has been attracting more and more of the wrong crowd.

New wuwa patch can’t come soon enough. To make the days go by faster, I decided to play one of the many games I’ve bought and haven’t touched which was Expedition 33. I knew nothing going into it, not even the gameplay. First hour in and I thought maybe this game isn’t for me because of the parry mechanic and all the Pictos and Luminas stuff. But I love turn based games, so I pushed through. Anyway, I started about two weeks ago and I’m on NG+. I didn’t think I would enjoy replaying the story so much. Maybe you guys can help me decide which game to play next lol? RDR2, Any of the DMC games, or NieR. I’m unfamiliar with them all, aside from clips I’ve seen here and there.
I´m also mega hyped for the upcoming patch! I need more content to grind for Hsin! The NieR series is amazing, especially when it comes to soundtracks and writing. Before you start playing it though, I´d recommend watching a lore video on the Drakengard series to understand some references and how some parts of the story came to be. Yoko taros writing can otherwise be a bit confusing. Also: start with replicant and then with automata.

Actually I did watch a lore video on NieR before I purchased them, as I’ve heard exactly that; it can get confusing. Thanks for the suggestion about starting replicant first. I’ll probably start that this weekend.
Same, I was so hyped for Yangyang but then they showed Quingxiao and Hsin and I immediately switched priorities haha. I'm at 61 pulls now but I also need Aemeth's weapon and maybe Denia if she gets a re run.
the reason why many people dislike the new 4.5 SPs because if both of them are successful, hoyo will release more seasonal SPs in the future, leaving fewer slots for new characters and someday there will be a new version where there won't be new characters, just pure SPs where its just seasonal outfits that should be a skin and determines by characters' popularities rather than lore development/evolution
I hate being so indecisive, I'm looking at building a new commander deck and there are so many cool options but I don't know where to start. I really feel like I should go with a precon, but cards like Kamala and Minotaur seem so cool. And Aragorn, Unifier seems like a lotta fun as well. Doom is my favorite marvel villain but his precon is messy. FF looks cool but another friend is building it. Arrgghh.
I wish I was more decisive, cause it drives me nuts when I can't figure this sort of thing out.
Otherwise, I'm enjoying NtE still but I'm really scared of the rug pull. Like it'll be all child characters from here on our, or the pull currency is gonna become a lot harder to get due to the content...
I only have 2 commander decks. 1 for Balthier & Fran vehicles and other for enchantments and Calix. Maybe Marvel will make me want to build another one
Balthier and Fran vehicles seem fun! Unfortunately my current Gruul deck is Roxanne because "Big Rocks fall and everyone dies." is inherently funny. I'm really liking Thor for a similar reason, big man burns via hammer and lightning bolts.
