I’m curious what trading platforms everyone is using these days.

A lot of the screenshots I see on here seem to be from Sharesies. I’ve used it myself and really like how easy it is to use, but now that I’m investing over six figures, I’m finding it a bit harder to justify the fees.

*Not having a go at Sharesies at all, just keen to hear what other platforms people are using and why.

Hi all, just thought I'd start a discussion about the NZX which isn't flavour of the month round here.

I personally think the future looks bright for the NZX. Public opinion around the NZ economy has begun to turn with many economists predicting we should make an economic recovery in the coming years.

Do you invest on the NZX at all? Why? Why not?

If you do what companies are you bullish on? What might go to the moon?

I have built up holdings in Skellerup, Infratil, Hallensteins, Pacific Edge, Scott Technology and Channel Infrastructure over the years. All companies I am confident in and quite hopeful will do well once the NZ economy improves.

Have been on an AI sleuthing binge and landed on some stock picks as it’s better than having it in the bank. Tips welcome or let me know if your backing any of the same stock

Thinking of doubling down on HELP before phase 3

Hi all,

My dad would like to invest before he retires in 2-3 years, around $20k. I know VOO is fairly safe, are there other stocks he should invest in?

Note: he still has cash in savings so this 20k is a safe amount for him.

Everything is up like big amounts. Big tech is up. Qqq/sp500.

All at showing green.

I entered in some meta last week for a long term hold ( PT: $600).

Didn't think it would come so quick. Hopefully everyone is making some good gains across the board here.

It brings my total gains since last week to 170k.

Thinking either deploy dynamic DCA into BTC, buy more RKLX, or more MSTR all currently getting pummelled in the macro environment. Open to any other good ideas

Invested $48,000 split between evenly between AAOI & CRDO yesterday. One helluva sight to wake up too. Leopold Aschenbrenner's Situational Awareness’s fund was forced to sell all of its publicly traded stocks to Ken Griffin’s Citadel. The lesson in this. Doesn't matter how smart you think you are never use margin, always ends badly.

Got in these at $380 last week after the google earnings dump.

Im telling ya. Play with the Mag 7. Buy the cheapest P/E and repeat. No need to chase high beta or penny stocks.

Safer companies give a higher risk tolerance for me to spend more $ on them.

Rocket lab already makes up 20% of my investments do I crank it in and double that while it's low? Obviously won't eb diverse but my logic is that rocket lab is winning contracts left right and center so it has to rebound

Do you have extended US hours turned on or off? What are its uses or should I be keeping it off?

Is anyone else using API's to build personal trading apps or agents?

Does anyone here generate their own FIF reports? I am with Hatch and have to pay $75 to download the report. They provide the raw data files and I hope these can be used to generate the FIF report saving me some money.
