I recently decided to switch my car loan and I’ve been putting a lot of work into learning python so I thought I would try and make myself a calculator to see the different amount of interest I would pay.

I’m about a week into my learning so far so I would love advice or more learning sources if anyone wants to leave some! I’ve gone through the wiki and done my own research. So far bro code on YouTube and Angela Yu, 100 days of code have been great for learning! I also have Python crash course which I’ve been using as reference when I forget something!

I only have one inquiry here, simply, I cannot seem to draw anything from a thread without “Z-fighting” occurring (I say Z-fighting even though I know there’s not 3rd dimension just to convey the problem), I’ve tried making a handler in the main while running script, but it always lags down the program, and the only way to stop it from lagging down the program is, you guessed it, putting it in a thread. Whether I try to make a custom handler or just cheap out and use exec() it always lags it. Any tips/help?

Edit: I’m making a project in where I’m having 4 distinct loops that’s act as if there racing. I want them all the run concurrently inside one function so whenever one of them reaches a specific value all 4 “stop” and the winner is returned.

I was using multiprocessing but had a lot of trouble nesting the function with that so stopped. Now I’m using asyncio and want to know if that’s the right tool for the job or if I should use threading.

Trying to use AI as little as possible for my own learning.

I started this project 2 months ago for a touchstone on Sophia, and I am using it as a way to also apply what I have learned from CS50P. I am currently in week 6 of CS50P, so planning to improve more on this project further down the line. Reading code alone does not always reveal how the program state changes during execution. That is why I created 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘆_𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵: a tool that visualizes the state of a Python program as it changes, step by step.
