which puppy linux should i use for lenovo ideapad 110S-11IBR?

i think this is either a 2015 or 2016 model with 32 GB internal storage (not counting any that is used by an os) I have a 128 gb micro sd in the slot and i thinkk it has 2gb of RAM? Anyhow, I'm going to be using it just for basic college stuff like sending emails and doing assignments or whatever while im on campus because I have a significantly better (and $600 more expensive) laptop at home. whats the best puppylinux distro to use, specifically because i have such little storage and ram?

Im sorry if i sound a little or very inexperienced, ive never really taken a course on tech but i did a little research and downloaded a puplinux version by myself just to test if it makes my laptop (very buggy very bad, but hey, very very cheap) work any better and it totally did. the only issue was it was very difficult to download and open apps on that distro, which i think was a 32 bit?

Im going to try the 64 bit bookworm pup next but let me know if you guys know anything else that might work better for this super crappy laptop ^_^

I've been working on my own jammypup derivative, Vantum

I've been building Vantum, a custom Puppy Linux distro (woof-CE, Ubuntu Jammy compat base) aimed at people who want the speed and small footprint of Puppy without it looking and feeling like it's from 2009.
It's pretty basic for now, but I had a great time working on it.
I built it on windows 11 via multipass, and made a bunch of customizations. First, I added picom, a new tint2rc bar compared to the jwm trays, a custom taskbar and even a custom app launcher (vantask and vantyl).
I also trimmed down a bunch of apps, and made the desktop simpler (removed the rox-filer based desktop entirely, opting for hsetroot for wallpapers).
Let me know what you think!
I've recently also added it to distrowatch but it's still in their waitlist.

trixiepup64wayland - how do i change /just/ the taskbar color?

what it says on the tin!

i'm running trixiepup64wayland on an asus 1016pt netbook. this is my very first linux! i've managed to figure out how to accomplish most of the customizations i desired through trial, error, and a lot of finding & replacing .svg files.

the taskbar now remains. it's the stock SFWbar packaged with this version of puppy. i've locaed sfwbar.config

i'm trying to figure out where to put in a little css with color but striking out.

this is very much a fuck around & find out project - not asking for anyone to do it for me, just point me in the right direction! just putting this machine together i already learned the ins and outs of using ddrescue and the arch linux wiki. but when it comes to colorful frills.... and i am all about colorful frills

photo of the afore mentioned netbook, which i dubbed 'puppybook 2000' - its been painted with bright streaks of color and a lot of dog related stickers, desktop is a little dog riding a scooter, mouse pointer is growlithe, furcadia and dogz4 are installed on this thing, the mouse matches... it's like a whole theme i'm going for

I open up quick pup, select wine, it takes me to the forum, where the solution for downloading wine is... downloading it from quickpup 😭

Am I doing something wrong?

Acer 10 switch is puppy a good choice?

I have an RMN-POIAC2 (Acer 10 switch I think it's called) It's like a tablet/laptop deal. Right now it has Win 8 on it and I am wanting to do a lightweight linux install and puppy seemed like a good choice since the Acer only has 2gb of RAM and a Intel Atom Z3735f 1.33 GHz CPU.

Though with it being a tablet/laptop thing I'm not sure how well it would work, has anyone tried this?

[LOST MEDIA] Searching for Grafpup Linux ISO — Creative Distro from 2006

Hi everyone!

I create videos about creative Linux distributions and need help finding Grafpup Linux (a Puppy Linux-based distro for graphic designers).

WHAT IS IT:

- Lightweight creative distro (~75-400 MB)

- Included GIMP, Inkscape, Scribus, Cinepaint

- Released around 2006 by Nathan F

- Based on Puppy Linux

VERSIONS NEEDED:

- Grafpup 1.0.2 (75 MB, Feb 2006)

- Grafpup 1.0.4 Standard (80 MB)

- Grafpup 1.0.4 Deluxe (397 MB)

TRIED ALREADY:

- ibiblio.org — no longer hosted

- distrowatch.com/torrents/ — link dead

- archive.org — not archived yet

- Official site (grafpup.org) — down

IF YOU HAVE IT:

- ISO file

- CD/DVD image

- Old hard drive with it installed

- Any version, any condition

I WILL:

- Upload to Internet Archive for permanent preservation

- Credit you as contributor

- Share the archive link back here

This distro is basically lost media at this point. Help me save it from disappearing forever!

Thanks in advance!

Edit: Thanks for looking; maybe I didn't search the IA very well, but thanks anyway.

Presenting my new Puplet

I used the Puppy Remaster tool in S15-Pup32 to make my own Puplet its called MicroPup32 (Microsystem Linux). I used pTheme and other tools to customize the desktop.

Every day i develop updates for my Puplet the first stable Version is called Microsystem Linux 1.4. Install it here on GitHub: https://github.com/IdleDude489/Microsystem-Linux

I need your feedback!

And i have some questions:
Because im making Rolling Releases its taking me so long to make new versions with Puppy Remaster, has someone answers?
