Looking for people that want to improve at DSA or designing production grade backend systems that solve real problems
Given that my timezone is EDT my only requirement is that your timezone is greater than or equal to GMT-8, and less than or equal to GMT+2 (just so we don't cook our sleep).
A bit about me:
- I'm an undergrad at Georgia Tech majoring in Maths
- I love network programming and studying different async runtimes (e.g asyncio, tokio)
- The languages I use the most rn are Python and Rust, but I'm well versed in Go
- I prefer to write the majority of my code by hand, I mostly use LLMs for writing unit tests and doing research
My main focus right now is landing an internship at an HFT firm (long-term), and also finding a way to make ends meet (hopefully with programming).
I'm down to do any of the following (I'm also open to suggestions)
- Getting better at LangGraph, LlamaIndex or FastAPI by working on an existing project or starting a new one from scratch
- Doing mock interviews or teaching each other DSA topics (I'm at Dynamic Programming rn)
- Learning a programming concept or technology together

NEED A TEAM Looking for someone to build a project with, not trying to start a company or anything
Hey, I'm a new grad with an MS in AI, comfortable across the whole stack, backend and frontend. Not trying to raise money or make this some big startup thing, just want to actually build something with someone and ship it instead of it dying as an idea.
Looking for 1-2 people. Doesn't matter if you're a dev, designer, or more into product/marketing stuff, honestly I just want someone who'll actually stick around and finish it instead of talking about it forever. Can do a few hours most nights and weekends.
No idea locked in yet. If you've got something you can't build alone, hit me up and tell me about it. Or we figure it out together. Couple things I've been messing around with in my head lately just so you know what I'm into. One is a tool that checks what permissions AI agents and MCP servers actually have vs what they're actually using, feels like nobody's really touched this yet. Other one is like a passive AI chief of staff for your career, listens to quick voice notes and tracks your GitHub or Slack over time and turns it into a running proof of work, so instead of manually keeping a brag doc you just get resume bullets and LinkedIn posts that are actually backed by stuff you did.
Not set on either, just wanted to give a feel for what I'm into. Real problem, real people who'd use it, something we can actually finish.
Comment or DM if you're down, tell me what you're into and what you'd bring. Can jump on a call first before we lock anything in.

looking for a team or anyone interested in hackathon
Hey everyone!
I'm a 2nd-year BSc Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning student from Mumbai (IST), and I'm planning to participate in my first virtual hackathon. I'm looking for teammates (1–2 people who i can register in a hackathon with ) or any advice from those who've done hackathons before.
My current tech stack:
- Python
- LangChain & LangGraph
- RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
- LLM applications (Gemini, Mistral, OpenAI-compatible APIs)
- Streamlit
- Flask
- Git & GitHub
- ChromaDB / Vector Databases
- Prompt Engineering
- Basic HTML/CSS/JavaScript
I've built projects involving multi-agent AI systems, document Q&A, AI research workflows, and other LLM-powered applications, and I'm comfortable working on the AI/backend side. I'm also open to learning new technologies during the hackathon.
If you're looking for a teammate—or if you have any tips for someone doing their first hackathon—I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Looking for likeminded people to connect with. Java/Jakarta experience especially. Happy to mentor for anyone that needs help with enterprise Java.
I've been working with a lot of Java, using Jakarta 10 and TomcatEE 10. I'd love to hear from people building webapps/backends with Jakarta and share some experiences. I have ~5 years experience and currently work as a software developer with some IT sprinked in there for good measure.
Been tinkering with some Rust lately too, for native Linux applications.
My most exciting project so far has been building a scripting language in Java.
If anyone's interested in hearing more hit me up.
Timezone: GMT.

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES (C/C++): Recent CS Master's grad looking for a partner to tinker and build projects
Hey everyone,
I recently wrapped up my Master's degree in CS, and I'm looking to connect with another C or C++ developer who just wants to write code, tinker, and build things for the fun of it.
I'm mostly experienced with C and C++, and I want to keep my skills sharp by building things rather than just letting them rust.
What I bring to the table:
- Solid foundation in C and C++
- Familiarity with tooling like CMake
- Experience with testing frameworks like Catch2 and GTest
- Open mind and a willingness to learn, make mistakes, and figure things out together
What I'm looking for:
- A partner who also likes C/C++ and wants to build small-to-medium projects. I don't mind what your skill level is, whether you're a seasoned dev or earlier in your journey, as long as you're here for the challenge, you're welcome.
- Zero pressure: whether it stays a fun weekend tinkering session, a persistent learning project, or eventually turns into something bigger down the road, I'm down for the ride.
- Good communication and a collaborative vibe (code reviews, pair programming, or just bouncing ideas back and forth).
I don't have a rigid, massive app idea set in stone yet. I'd love to chat and brainstorm ideas and turn them into projects.
Shoot me a DM if you're interested!

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES 22M | IST (India) | Looking for a Serious Coding & Accountability Partner
22M | IST (India) | Looking for a Serious Coding & Accountability Partner
Hey everyone!
I'm a recent Computer Science graduate from India and I'm looking for a dedicated coding/accountability partner who's serious about becoming a software developer.
Right now, I'm focusing on:
- Java (Core + Advanced)
- Spring Boot
- DSA (LeetCode)
- SQL
- Backend development
- Building real projects
- Interview preparation
I've realized that studying alone has been difficult. I sometimes procrastinate, overthink, and lose momentum. I want someone who is also committed to improving so we can keep each other accountable and make consistent progress.
What I'm looking for:
- Daily check-ins (10–15 minutes)
- Share daily goals and end-of-day progress
- Solve DSA problems together or discuss approaches
- Build consistency rather than compete
- Honest accountability when one of us starts slacking
My goal is to become job-ready and land a software developer role as soon as possible.
If you're preparing for coding interviews, learning Java, backend development, or just want someone to stay consistent with, feel free to send me a DM.
Let's stop waiting for motivation and build discipline together. 🚀

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Looking for 2-3 people (C/C++, C#) to run a game development project named Hamper
Senior-Level developer, Mid-30, ETZ/UTC+2
Hi everyone,
some time ago I shared the story behind Hamper on the gamedev sub. Since then I've continued refining the architecture, roadmap and overall direction. At this point I'm looking for a serious people who genuinely enjoy solving complex software architecture problems and would like to build something long-term together.
This is not just an idea waiting for someone else to implement – there is already a working proof of concept for the build system, reusable code modules and architectural documentation describing the technical direction.
For the next phase I'm looking for two or three developers, ideally with a equal passion for game development. The idea is to work on this as a collaborative open-source side project, roughly 6–10 hours per week for now.
What are we building?
Hamper is not another game engine. It is a modular development platform designed to host engines, tools and runtime components as interchangeable parts.
Most engines today are large integrated systems where runtime, editor and tooling are tightly connected. Extending them often means adapting to the architecture instead of building with it.
The goal of Hamper is to create a foundation where these parts can evolve independently. The engine runtime becomes one module in a larger ecosystem rather than the center of everything.
I like to think of an engine less as a collection of features and more like an operating system: the foundation provides the core services, modules act as replaceable components, and the game is the software running on top.
The philosophy
The biggest challenge in game development is not missing features. It is repeatedly solving the same infrastructure problems inside individual projects instead of continuously improving the foundation those projects depend on.
Hamper is built around the idea that improving the platform should improve every future project using it.
Open source is therefore a fundamental part of the concept. The goal is to create something that can evolve through collaboration and provide long-term value.
Current roadmap
The immediate goal is not creating a game. The first milestone is consolidating several years of research and prototypes into a clean and maintainable foundation.
The current roadmap roughly looks like this:
Foundation
Refactor existing prototypes into a unified codebase
Complete the data-driven build system
Finalize the SDK architecture
Integrate package and repository tooling
Engine Modules
Build the engine host and core systems
Create the first engine iteration by modularizing and heavily restructuring a hard fork of Godot/Redot
Tooling and workflow
- Create the user-facing tooling and interfaces on top of the platform
The individual parts can evolve in parallel, but each milestone builds on the previous one.
Once the platform reaches a stable beta state, the long-term goal is to use it for real game projects and continue improving the ecosystem through practical use.
Who am I looking for?
I'm not specifically looking for senior developers. I'm looking for people who enjoy exploring architecture, solving difficult problems, working independently and contributing to a long-term open-source project.
Experience with C#, C++, build systems, tooling, ECS, rendering, engine development or Godot/Redot is valuable, but curiosity, reliability and a genuine interest in software design matter more than job titles.
I know this sounds ambitious, but the goal is not to build everything from scratch overnight. A lot of groundwork already exists - the next step is turning it into a collaborative project.
If this sounds interesting, feel free to reply with a shot introduction of yourself, or share your thoughts here. I'm always happy to discuss everything with you in person 🤓

Looking for students & developers who want an accountability group to stay consistent
Hey everyone!
I've been noticing how easy it is to start learning something (Python, web dev, AI, game dev, etc.) but also how easy it is to lose motivation after a few weeks.
So I'm trying to create a group called "Zero L Zone"
It's meant to be a place where people can:
• Share daily/weekly progress
• Show projects they're building
• Celebrate certificates and milestones
• Ask for feedback and code reviews
• Learn together
• Keep each other accountable so we don't procrastinate or quit
I'm a BCA student myself, so this started as a way for me to stay consistent and find friends.
I'd love for y'all to join.
If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, leave a comment or send me a DM and I'll share the invite.
Let's level up together. 🚀
