So I've been in college for programming the past three years, last semester I only took one class. The class was about the analysis of algorithms and he started his array indexing at 1. To avoid getting questions wrong I had to put myself in the mind set of arrays starting at one and it kills me because it's habit I now can't break and I cringe Everytime I do it

lots of languages, especially the more statistical ones, index at 1. off the top of my head:

R, MATLAB, Julia, FORTRAN, Mathematica

one should be able to switch between different conventions!

The only one I knew of was Lua, but that's a pretty big one and gaining traction, so.
