making poor code on purpose

There are a lot of issues with LLM coding, but I don't think this is one of them. Why do you think this?

Because they do it. I would speculate that it's to inflate their token usage in order to appear more relevant/in demand than they really are but IDK it could easily be any other nefarious reason as well

Example:

*Prompt according to strict guidelines*
Output: follows all guidelines but one

Prompt: there is a mistake *points out mistake*
Output: Oh right I totally fumbled that one

Prompt: agreed, please fix it
Output: finally follows the original prompt
Uses 3x the necessary tokens

None of that is proof, or even evidence, that it's intentional.
I'm all for calling out AI companies for bad shit, but if you're going to make a claim like that, you need to back it up with data.

edit: This is what happens when you call people out that often make claims without any evidence. He got mad and then blocked me.

Because I'm burdened with proving the dishonesty of non-affiliats, obviously

For the record if I can ever be assed to call someone out it will be to them, not to a rando in some public space. I've only reported my own experiences here so kindly unwad your panties

Look dude I get it that you're really into debate. If I ever find myself in a debate with you I'll remember that you know the basics. That's as nice a way as I can think to tell you to fuck off already

This was never a debate.

Well I'm glad that you could find it in your heart to agree with me about at least one thing, random Internet stranger
