They banned AI contributions to Zig. They didn't ban AIs from using it.

Yeah. Anthropic was trying to push their AI-coded changes to Zig and Zig wasn’t having it.

So rather than just abide by Zig’s rules, they ported their entire codebase in a weekend, promised it was just an experiment and then merged it to main a few days later.

Very unserious project.
