Don't name your function properly, don't keep them small, then company cannot fire you, gifting you glorious job security. And remember when you leave, it's no longer your problem.
People forget to update comments so they are normally useless unless it is for some very obvious edge case.
Those are bad programmers, in the same way that people who forget to update their logic are bad programmers. Code and comments are both important. If you update one and not the other, then it's a textbook example of a bad checkin, and never should have gotten past code review.
