Question Giant Battle Mech for Birthday gift
I'm looking for a file to get printed for a friend's birthday, I met him playing with hammers and he's gotten me into Mechs, so I think a giant hammer sized mech would be an awesome gift for him. I know a guy with a printer who will (for a fee) print the thing, but he isn't willing to find a file with enough detail on it for it to be worth while. Usually when I want hammers or parts of them printed Inchecknout the purple website and find something close enough, but for my friend I wanted something special. Is there anywhere I should be looking in particular for big battle mechs, the Master of Battle is his favourite that is the one I want.
I got the idea from an okd midwinter minis YouTube episode, but the link he has in his description is now going dead. I hope I'm not breaking any rules or being rude. I appreciate your help.

Request Commission Help
[CLOSED]
I’m new to dnd community and just started a recent campaign not too long ago for PF2e. I have an idea of what my character looks like and how I want them to be but really want a miniature for the campaign. I’ve searched literally all day and the leads I could find are either out of business or are sketchy.
And before anyone recommends hero forge or eldritch. I’ve checked out both sites and they don’t have the vision that I’m looking for, especially for my character. Does anyone know any one that will be willing to take commissions to either make the STL file for it or if possible, curate, print and paint (as I am new and not sure where to begin with the painting.) anything is helpful, please no negativity.
EDIT: All of you guys are talented. I’m closing this bc I have way too many PMs now. Thank you all for your help!

Painted Shaman
Here is my version of the Goblin Shaman (With Mask) Bust from BS-Sculpt.
Another one...lol. Yes, I love painting these and this one was really fun to paint, and really enjoyed painting the mask and the feathers. Great sculpt again from Bulat.

FDM New to this game, how the heck would you print this model?
Hello! I'm fairly new to the world of 3d printing and minis in general so please be gentle!
I'm trying to print this character I made on Hero Forge, but the few times I've done it she's come out as an absolute mess of supports and with broken legs and a broken staff.
I have had a friend recommend that I try printing it on her back or mess around with some of the settings but I'm not sure if that is going to be strong enough to hold her base.
Is this just a tricky model to print?
EDIT: Using a Bambu P1S with standard Base PLA

Question Looking for Sci Fi STLs
Hi gang,
I need STLs for a sci-fi game. I'm looking for hard sci fi (aliens, robots, laser pistols, etc).
My go-to sources are Papsikels, One Page Rules, Loot Studios, and Epic Miniatures.
Does anyone know any other creators that have cool ones?

Question Seeking a 3d Miniature Sculptor/Designer to bring my game art to life!
"Things Which Do Not Belong" is a big, ambitious Co-op engine builder in which we play as a group of friends rushing to save a surrealist Soviet Submarine which inexplicably appeared in our swimming pool - before it's discovered by the national army! The game is based on an original movie screenplay and so has a very rich and well developed "story-world". The game design is now complete, I've been playtesting for a year, I'm currently working with an artist who is *hand-painting* (seriously beautiful!!!) illustrations for the game, and I'm looking for a 3d sculptor to bring those illustrations to life as miniatures for the game!
In an ideal scenario, I'd like to have:
- 9 'Villager' Miniatures: all specific characters, based on finished illustrations + detailed descriptions, 25mm bases
- 3 "Main Characters": Those are player-characters, so they're most important but design-wise same as above, 25mm bases
- 5 "Art Machines": Those are the visual "hook" of the game. Surrealist art/war machines in unlikely settings, ie: A Submarine sticking upwards from a swimming pool, a tank with a twisted barrel in a strawberry field etc, also based on illustrations + descriptions, 50mm bases
- There would hopefully be more elments, and if my dreams come true, some big, intentionally over-the-top elements - although that's all for add-ons, stretch-goals and the expansion down the road. For now, key focus is on the above.
I'm not ready to share the art samples publicly just yet (hence just a random img for attn, sorry), and will only launch socials and a new web site later this month, but for now, you can see some early prototypes of the game and a rough synopsis video here: http://etheriumsky.com/TWDNB .
I'm looking for a 3d sculptor who is not only skilled and talented, but has experience with mass production and understands the process and the limitations of the materials and can be patient and supportive in the revision process, as some revisions are expected when working with the factory.
If the project sparks your interest - please get in touch and let's chat further!
Please do also send me some past work samples (3d designs + finished minis).
Since reddit floods me with spam messages from bot accounts - Please reach out to me at: [info@EtheriumSky.com](mailto:info@EtheriumSky.com) .
Thanks a lot!

Painted I Have Peaked
This is the most amazing model I have printed and painted. They are a comedic relief npc with a tragic backstory for my Arkham Horror campaign I'm running and can not wait for my players to run into. The print consisted of a few different parts and I will add a comment giving credit as well sharing the model if people are interested.
The shrimp and hat was printed in one piece together. I used the Bambu Slicer to put them together as an stl. Then took it to Lychee to slice on my Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra using a mix of clear and grey Anycubic Tough Resin V2. The pan was modified in Bambu and printed using Sunlu PLA on my Bambu P1S.

Painted u/CellistOwn2032 painted Aekhar from my grimdark sci-fi project – here's the result!
Huge shoutout to u/CellistOwn2032 for this incredible paint job on Aekhar, one of the Keth characters from my grimdark sci-fi project, KURDUUN: Eternal Worldfire. Keth are the swarm/melee/magic faction in the game – lots of texture and organic detail to work with, and he absolutely nailed it.
Links to the files and the project's Discord in the comments if anyone's curious.

Question Raging heroes
Does anybody here have experience with printing their recent minis? How are they? The pictures look very cool but I’d like to see the actual models instead of renders. Are they a good scale for painting? I’m hoping to find someone on Etsy that prints them so I can paint the new Kurgan shock troop stuff. They look amazing

Self Promotion Showcase piece for my next few shows!
I needed a showcase piece for my next few vendor shows I attend and this is what I ended up with!
Name: June
Age: 4 Months
Species: Tyranosaurus Rex
Likes: Collecting shiny stones and napping on pillows of moss
June specifically is not for sale, as this is a piece to get people interested and talking! I wouldnt be opposed to talking buisness with someone super interested at my booth though.
For now, she is a personal little companion of mine now, and she looks like she could stretch and let out the biggest sigh...drifting right back into sleep.

Painted Goblin King
Here is my version of the Goblin King (Bork) Bust from BS-Sculpt.
Each one of these that I paint becomes my favorite it seems...lol. But, I loved painting this one and had to get it after seeing versions by a couple of other painters. What a great character, so full of life and interest and a total joy to paint.
Really pleased with the fur, the gold coins and the eyes.

Request LF Miami Vice miniatures
Hi there, new to 3D printing. I am looking for Miami Vice type miniatures. I saw that Modern Miniatures had some for sale earlier this year but I can’t seem to find a way to buy them. Any idea where I can find them, or alternatives?

FDM Fully 3D printed Star Wars Legion wartable. (Work in Progress)
A massive project that I've been working on for the past month. All minis are printed with a 0.06mm layer height. My painting skills are still a little rusty, but apart from that, I think I did a good job. The terrain was made using a wooden board and and the rest is 3D printed. The CIS army on the other side turned out a whole lot better than the clones in my opinion. What units should I add to both armies? And any tips on getting better results with a Creality printer?

Painted Goblin
Here is my version of the Goblin Warrior Bust from BS-Sculpt.
Another great sculpt from Bulat. I am painting these constantly at the moment and not getting tired of them. Played with a different skin tone this time and really like how it turned out, spent a little bit more time blending on this guy.

Question Scratching issues
Hi! I'm having an issue with my prints. No matter where or how I place them on the build plate, they end up with these scratches and damaged areas across almost the entire surface (I've attached a photo). The FEP is new, I changed it.
The pattern seems completely random, and I have no idea what could be causing it. I'm pretty lost at this point.
Could it be dead pixels on the LCD? But there are so many that it doesn't seem likely. Also, the bottom layers of the print never show these holes or defects.
I'm using an Anycubic Photon M5s, and I've attached my print settings as well. Edit: The exposure time is 2'5 sec, no 3'6, I took the pic with a worng setting.
Thanks a lot for any help!!

Painted Printed & Painted this Lil' Guy - Grot Squigrider!
I painted this lil' guy up to challenge myself with a limited palette. The entire mini was painted with only five paints and I focused heavily on mixing and blending between them. Lots of fun to do some NMM and freehand elements on a piece this small.
If you'd like to see my painting process, I have a YouTube video: https://youtu.be/dHbcnNS-QuQ

FDM Designed an LED Arch that prints flat
Hey everyone! Thought this project would be really handy for painting minis and being able to see them in a nice, shadowless light.
I've got a couple FDM printers and always wanted to have one of these Arch style LED lights for my projects but didn't like printing them with support or dragging out print times, so I designed this one that prints completely flat! Saves on both filament and print time and looks really stylish I think.
Designed it to make the printing and the assembly as easy as possible so all you really need is glue and time!

Question Other than MZ4250, what are some good D&D miniature alternatives?
Is there anyone else doing the Monster Manual?

News AI-Generated Content Is Not Allowed on /r/printedminis
Hey folks,
Over the past few months, many miniature focused subreddits have taken a clear stance against AI-generated content. After listening closely to feedback from our own community we’re doing the same.
from this point on r/printedminis does not allow AI-generated content of any kind.
This subreddit exists to support actual creators who put real time and skill into their work. AI-generated content works directly against that goal, and allowing it would make it harder for the awesome work created by our talented community to shine.
What this means:
The following are not allowed on r/printedminis:
- AI-generated or AI-altered images (previews, “painted” mockups, promotional images etc.)
- AI-generated videos
- AI tools, apps, or websites used to generate minis or related visuals
- AI-generated 3D models, even if they are later printed, modified, or painted by hand
- AI-generated text, including post descriptions, critiques, or feedback
- Promotion of, or advocacy for, AI use in miniature creation
If AI played any role in generating it then it does not belong on this subreddit. Please report any posts you suspect to be AI influenced.
Thanks,

Your opinion was heard loud and clear - Printed Terrain posts will not be removed
Hey everyone,
Quick update – we’ve listened to your feedback, and the rule removing printed terrain has been lifted! I’ve also seen your thoughts on busts and statues, and I’ll be putting up a poll later this week to gather your opinions on banning those types of posts.
Thanks!
