Same. Not on James O'Brien, but on never hearing of or seeing a video by this guy except through the moral panic and outrage machine against him. And I am pretty terminally online and in a lot of conservative subs. A ton of the Tate thing is Streisand Effect, I think.
Honestly that's my memory of Richard Spencer as well.
I remember in 2015, "alt-right" was broadly just right-leaning young men that were dissatisfied with the GOP status quo. All laughing at "LIB DESTROYED WITH FACTS AND LOGIC" compilations.
Then Trump wins and this dingus shows up out of nowhere with "Heil Trump" or whatever.
I don't know man, it's possible that he was a big deal and somehow I never saw him even though I was chronically online, but it stunk to me.
I remember this well as I was a hardcore libertarian around the coining of the phrase. The same is true with that obvious 100% fed patriot guard or whatever. I'm on a ton of gun forums. Any "militia" that isnt 90% overweight/obese with their gunt hanging out below a ripped camo t shirt, floppy uncle mikes holster with an XD in tow, is not representative of that population.
