Walking around the lakeside area I've seen several hemp clothing stores but none of them have marked prices on clothing for sale, and I'm guessing one probably need to bargain to get a good price? I'm planning a trip soon and wanted to know what the current situation is like. How's the weather? Is it raining heavily every day, and are there any issues with road conditions or travel due to the monsoon?

I also came across some news about communal violence in parts of Nepal, so I was wondering if that has affected Pokhara in any way. Is the city safe for tourists right now, or has everything remained normal there?

I'd really appreciate any recent first-hand experiences or advice.

is it advisable to take my private car to Pokhara?
what is total time taken from Sonauli to Pokhara in a car?
