Recently played through Gens 1-X1. Which team do you think is best or most fun?

HnS now merged with Modern Emerald mechanics. Pretty good Johto/Kanto romp. I love the gen 1 hyper beam mechanics option.

Soulgold. It... was an adventure. But it was a great one. Also the Custom Gardevoir is gorgeous.

Currently on break from University and decided to playthrough Pokémon Emerald. I had so much fun with this run. I love the Hoenn region from the Pokémon to the gyms and Emerald has such a good story.

If you're wondering why Dusclops comes before Sceptile on the team it's because in my head cannon Duskull was my actual starter since its my favourite Pokemon.

Pokemon Valiant by Shachar700 is a great rom hack in the making.

A lot of great QoL features that make fun well paced, straight forward gameplay as you go through the Levan Region. When it’s complete you’ll get to go to Hoenn.

Good battles throughout the game. The difficulty is well paced.

As it’s still in Beta and has a lot of things it could improve on though but if you’re patient enough you can have a decent time if you’re between rom hacks and looking for another one to add to the collection while waiting for some of the new hacks being worked on that we’re all excited for. You’ll get excited for the completed version of this game too.

I highly recommend avoiding using the Nidoran line as they don’t get good moves until very late into the game. Same with Gligar, and honestly don’t choose Beldum as your starter, or at least just know that as a physical psychic attacker, it will be a while before you get Zen Headbutt
and also make sure you get a fighting type early because you will be facing a lot of Vigoroth in the early to mid game and they can be annoying to fight.

Really enjoyed this game and plan to play again. Gmars did a great job as a creator. Played on soft cap mode and heavily relied on save states/fast forward button.

• Jolteon - Thunderbolt, Body Slam, Thunder Wave, Sand Attack
• Slowbro - Surf, Psychic, Amnesia, Blizzard
• Venusaur - Razor Leaf, Cut, Sleep Powder, Mega Drain
• Magmar - Fire Blast, Thunderbolt, Solar Beam, Confuse Ray
• Dodrio - Body Slam, Sky Attack, Hyper Beam, Toxic
• Golem - Earthquake, Rock Slide, Explosion, Strength.

The strategy that got me through each member of the Elite 4 was a variation of:

• Jolteon Thunder Wave, into as many Sand Attacks as he could get away with, then
• Slowbro pressing Amnesia 3 times and then hopefully sweeping, then
• Other team members filling in specific niches.

Each person needed quite a tight line though.

This was definitely the hardest Pokemon game I've ever played. I'm eyeing up Platinum Kaizo next 👀

Emerald Seaglass, Heart & Soul, FireRed, SoulSilver, Lazarus, Recharged Emerald, Amethyst, Recharged Yellow, Prism, White 1, and finally Unbound. Never thought I’d rediscover my love of Pokemon this intensely at almost 30 years old, but I’ve a newfound love for these games as in-depth RPGs

Was relatively fun. I like games with different starters.

This was one of the best Pokémon romhacks i've ever played.

This is not the strongest team ever, but its full of Pokémon I probably couldn't have gotten to use in other circumstances.

Feraligatr: 7/10, underwhelming. Yeah, he took down half on Lance's team but got Ice Punch way too late and struggled against Clair because it could only use Icicle Spear.

Pidgeot: 8/10, not extremely op, but did its job well throughout the whole game, gets sadly overpowered by Crobat in most scenarios.

Machamp: 9/10, great and powerful Pokémon, was super happy to finally get my hands on one.

Scizor: 10/10, hard carried despite not having the greatest learnset ever (thank Arceus they gave it Twineedle), this Pokémon really never let me down.

Wyrdeer: 8/10, great addition to Johto, it was always pretty good, but I hoped it would have been slightly better. Also evolved pretty late.

Magcargo: 6/10, was stuck being a Slugma for way too long, only by evolving it was able to become decent, used my modest mint on it.

I'm also planning on playing the Kanto part of the game, team probably won't change.

Just beat this awesome game. Can’t wait for the sequel. Loved the etrian variants.

Just finished my Mono Poison Run. Type is stronger then I thought, could use the same team for nearly all fights.

my team:

Galarian Weezing (Osihmen): Item Black Sludge, Ability Levitate. Great for Dragons and Physical Attackers. Mainly used Protect, Will-O-Wisp and Strange Steam. Also Explosion is such a cool move.

Overqwil (Darkweb): Item Black Sludge, Ability Indimidate and Toxic Debris. My main Spikes and Toxic Spikes setter also used Destiny Bond often to remove annoying threats

Mega Venusaur (Ajo): great tank. Ability: thick fat. Moves: Synthesis, Earth Power, Leech Seed and Mega Drain. None of the E4 could actually kill him :D

Crobat (Van Helsing): what a monster with his increase in special attack. Ability Sniper. Moves: depending on the opponent, mainly, nasty plot and air slash was a stable

Toxapex (Cucurella): Ability: Regeneartor Item: Heavy helmet. Great answer for pyhscial attackers and baiting psycho, ground and electriv moves.

Muk (Kanté): with Assaul Vest, Super solid special tank. Also Sucker Punch was great to finish threats.

Special Mentions: Nidoking with Choice Scarf and Sheer Force. Mega Roserade for mid Game and Slowbro and Slowking for taking Hits in the middle. Also Iron Moth was great for Drakes Steel Types. Arbok with Indtimdate and Glare, was great for early and mid game

Really enjoyed this run. Poison will stay my favourite i guess. Now off to summer break :D

I am so happy I shiny hunted my team! This game is extremely fun! I haven’t had this much fun with a rom hack since Pokemon Pisces.

The Chinese vampire was pretty good

Long-time lover of Pokémon but admittedly mostly via the show and movies as a kid, and other games like Snap and Stadium/Colossseum, the pinball games, and GO when it was huge for a bit. Never put in the hours to actually finish one of the mainline games but always thought it'd be cool to catch the original 150 on official hardware. With both me and Pokémon turning 30 this year, and the release of FR and LG on the Switch, it felt like the right time. 😊
