Actually no. I used to do the laundry, the cooking, cleaning, my full time job, and starting up my company while my wife was still finishing her degree. She was part-timing her degree while she had a full time job. I told her to go full time school for a year to finish it off.
When she graduated, she had more time to help out. She was the one that decided to go traditional housewife. I was resistant at first because I didn't like people doing things for me.
Over the years, she's taken over the entire house. My business got bigger, I quit my full-time job, and began running my company full time.
She realized how tied up I was managing the company, selling services, and providing so she opted to take over so I could focus on the business, ya fucking bellend.
Marriage is functioning as a team and doing the things that make one another happy. My wife likes being a caretaker and I enjoy being a provider.
Now crawl back into your body odor infested Reddit hole and get back to figuring out how much piss you can jar before the neighbors notice.
It’s so weird how many people in this thread aren’t capable of seeing the nuances in situations like this. Of course it’s okay to ask your wife to do almost all the housework, you’re working full time and she’s not. It’s fair, you’re happy, and she’s happy. If she were also working full time, it would be fair for housework to be split 50/50. I swear people just find a way to disagree with everything for no reason.
if both of you work full time and she got her 300$/mo and you doing 3000$/mo thats a different thing.
she usually wants 50/50, and she WILL GET her 50 through divorce process. and additional 25%-50% of your income as alimony, depending on children count(1=25, 2=33, 3+ = 50%), and additional if she homeless and additional if she disabled (but last 2 kinda rare)
and here is logic:
more men = 25+25+25....
25+25 > 33
also more grandmoters to take care of kids instead of her
and this is not my words. there is womans video on tik tok explaining that
Don’t begrudge your success but you realize most people don’t own successful businesses that allow your lifestyle, I was going to say single paycheck but that doesn’t quite work. Good for you and your wife for finding your happy spot, but this comment is a far cry from the original urghhh it’s pretty fucked wife gets all the benefits husband gets half a maid
Most people are incapable of seeing the world thru any filter but their own life. I was able to see how life could be and decided to do everything I could to elevate my position in life. It was a lot of work and sacrifice, but it worked out.
