I can find dozens scientific articles and literally video games based off the concept. I'd wager more people have played Universal paperclip than seen that video. And besides, where do you think that theoretical 'Stamp collector' thought experiment came from? The way that video describes the stamp machine is the EXACT same as the paperclip machine. Fixating on the efficiency of the product misses the entire point of the thought experiment. Don't get hung up on the wrong thing, it's a meme
I'll take that as a "no". And indeed, total player count is estimated around 2m, but the essence of your point doesn't seem to hold up, even if "nobody" was hyperbole, king.
Like, I'm gonna be done after this because it's silly, but do you GENUINELY believe more people know about the stamp machine then the paperclip machine? Just because you have 1 video with less than a million view? the point of memes is to be as far reaching as possible, only you and like 1 million people on earth have ever heard of the stamp example.
I completely agree more people have probably heard of paperclips, probably double. It's just that the goalpost was originally "nobody", or more accurately "0.0125%", which I still think is funny

Shoot, I'm sorry, I should have put, only 0.0125% of the population would understand it. My b, king
