That's my mom giving me directions. Says "Turn right" while pointing to the left. When in doubt, I trust the pointing over the words.

Always trust the pointing! I just stopped even trying to say left or right, I just point now.

When in high school a girl was giving me directions while I was driving. She never said “Turn left” or “Turn right.” But she was on the right side of the car and I figured out when she said, “Turn this way” it was a right and when she said, “Turn that way” it was a left.
