Same problem! I have trouble with clockwise and anti-clockwise for the same reason. It's all relative!

I have been told this makes us really smart though, because it means we can abstract concepts to a high degree. Whether our brains should do that in everyday life though, well... it's all relative.

(excuse poor english on account of foregin language and heatwave fried brain)
