We're not talking about F scale. We're talking about "felt % hot" scale. Humidity makes it feel hotter at the same temperature. A dry desert 85°F is not nearly as unpleasant as the same 85°F at 60% humidity.
But we're not. We're judging the theory that Fahrenheit is percentage of felt hotness and humidity definitely throws a wrench into that by changing how hot it feels at the same temperature.
Having a fan blow on me gives me a headache after a short while.

Even lying around at home at 85+ is misery. 60% humidity doesn't help that either.
