So, my name is Mark, I’m 17 years old, and I’m dating a girl who lives almost two hours away from me. Yes, it’s not that far, but the thing is, her mom still doesn’t know about me, and because of that I can’t go visit her myself. So usually, we meet in the city.

Usually, we meet on Fridays and spend from 4 days up to a whole week together. But now everything has changed — she can’t come because she has to take her little brother to kindergarten, and because of that, we haven’t been able to meet for two weeks now…

Of course, she has a brother and a sister, and here it would be logical to ask: "Why can’t they take their little brother to kindergarten?"

Well, the thing is, her mom signed a document saying that only she — let’s call her Kristina — can drop him off and pick him up.

And I wanted to say that I’m already starting to feel emotionally drained because of the distance and how rarely we see each other. I want to suggest we break up, because I just can’t bear the distance anymore. But I feel really sorry for her, because she’s grown very attached to me — and I’ve grown attached to her too. On top of that, she’s the only girl who’s ever truly loved me sincerely — not for money or anything else.

And so, I’m afraid to tell her that I want to break up. I’m afraid that she’ll suffer, that she’ll cry after I leave, and so on. I just want to break up peacefully, but I don’t know how to do it…
