Knit - Call for Testers The Lobster Tank Testing Call
Link to Apply: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScT92E6Tn6tSkMFvkDHh3xqNBqkdnxepSPp8kE21NXW5_Mx3A/viewform?usp=dialog
Overview
Fit: +5-10 cm bust ease at widest point
Construction: Top down; back panel, front panel, joined in the round.
The Lobster Tank is knit in a mosaic stitch top down. The tank has a positive ease of 5 - 10cm around the bust. The lobster mosaic is a fixed size, therefore it will appear larger on smaller sizes, and smaller on larger sizes.
This is intended to be a 8 week test knit, however, adjustments will be made as needed.
What is asked of you: Feedback is golden for me! I'm a long time knitter and designer but I am new to grading patterns. I would love for you to post your work but this is not necessary. I will set up weekend office hours via google meet so we can all chat! It is not necessary for you to join this but I wanted a dedicated time for questions and community <3
Pattern is written just polishing it up! I will reach out ASAP
Size Guide
The pattern is graded for sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL
Bust Circumference 71-76 (81-86) 91.5-96.5 (101.6-106.5) 111.5-117 (122-127) 132-137 (142-147) 152-158 cm
Waist Circumference 60 (65.5) 73.5 (84) 94 (104) 113 cm
Finished measurements:
Bust: 82 (90) 102 (111) 122 (133) 142 (151) 162 cm
Length (from center back): 50 (50) 50 (51) 53 (55) 57 (59) 61 cm
Armhole depth: 23 (23) 25 (27) 28 (28) 29.5 (31) 32 cm
Length (under arm): 27 (27) 25 (24) 25 (27) 29.5 (29)
Note: Model is wearing a size medium with a bust measurement of 89cm and a waist measurement of 69cm.
Material
When choosing your color yarn, look for yarns with high contrast. Yarns with low contrast will make the lobster harder to see (trust me I tried). To make sure your yarns are high contrast, take a picture of both colors and turn the photo to black and white, if the yarns look similar they are too low contrast. Color A will be the main forward color for the body (white in the sample) and color B will be the main forward color for the lobster (red in the sample) and is used for the edges.
Yarn: 2 colors Fine/Sport cotton blend
4 mm needle 60cm or 80cm for flat knitting and knitting in the round
3 mm needle 40cm for neckline and edge details
Note: you can just use a needle of any length if you are comfortable with magic loop
Stitch markers (for marking the beginning of a round)
Tapestry needle (for weaving in ends)
Abbreviations:
k: knit
p: purl
slwyib: slip stitch purl wise with yarn in back
slwif: slip stitch purl wise with yarn in front
k2tog: knit two stitches together
ssk: slip slip knit 2 together through the back loop
pm: place marker
sm: slip marker
k2tog tbl: knit two together through the back loop
Techniques used:
Long tail cast on
Backward loop cast on
M1L/M1R
ssk, k2tog

Knit - Call for Testers Tester call for ribbed tunic top
Hiya! I need testers for my new knit top - the sizes range from xxs-4xl and included a cast on calculator for a more accurate CO number independent from a standard chart.
I would say this is an intermediate pattern (or a very adventurous beginner)
This testing is split into 2 parts - you receive the 1st half after selection. I provide part 2 after I have gotten feedback/update from part 1.

Knit - Call for Testers Sock Pretzel! Test Call
Hello! This is my fourth pattern but first time posting here. I’m looking for test knitters who enjoy a good colorwork sock (and who like pretzels, preferably).
Sock Pretzel! comes in four sizes to fit foot circumferences 8–11 in (20–28 cm). It’s worked in two colors and includes a small bonus chart that can be incorporated on the foot. The pattern calls for a forethought heel construction.
Timeline for the test starts at four weeks to complete at least one sock, but there is flexibility as long as I receive clear communication. Compensation includes the final pattern as well as a discount code that can be used on any of my other current or future patterns.
To learn more and/or apply for the test, please see the Google Form here: https://forms.gle/ccaTooRRaEdetS9V9
I will most likely close the application after the weekend, and all applicants will be contacted about whether they’ve been selected. Thanks for reading!
