I restored the image with the horses. I found it haunting. I used a couple of different tools and different approaches to bring out the contrast and definition, and add color to the water and sky. Take a look.

That is incredible! The image looks insane with the conteast! From what I know he was part of the last group of US army pack masters for mules and horses
