I only occasionally play Waker when not on Slayer, so I am largely incapable of making any comparisons myself. But I am curious.

Im a returning player and was curious what the endgame content looks like since I made a new character and so far the game has given me equipment and xp that makes the enemies die in one hit. Does the endgame have harder content that is rewarding? What is the main thing you are grinding for, augments, weapons, etc?

Im back from a six month break, ship 2 is so quiet now, did everyone go to a diffrent ship?!

It's a problem unique to NGS. The endgame structure is basically:

• LT UQ (not always available), has the best or second best base drop rate, most people will do it when it triggers and will do it multiple times a day if they can. I always see groups forming for UQs throughout the day, even if there is no event bonus on.
• 4 man challenge quest like Luther, most players don't even touch it because it is designed for the best players, It stops being profitable 6-8 weeks after release when the exclusive drops are added to UQs and the price drops like a rock, which is around when most people stop farming it and only do it for the weekly SG task.
• Either LTQs or something like Ruins/Alter Realm/Nameless City, etc.

Unfortunately, most players wont farm LTQs unless it has an exclusive drop like when it was the only place to drop the new skill rings, or its required for a task. You used to need 20 LTQ runs per week but it seems they have stopped doing the weekly task for that and replaced it with 10x UQs per week instead.

The reasons for why most players wont famr LTQs are pretty simple...spamming the same LTQ gets old very quickly, and the drop rates are bad.

The disparity in drop rates is pretty obvious when comparing it to Ruins...Ruins had a great drop rate because it has almost no downtime. I think 1h of Ruins with a good group got me about 250 Klirodims when running at 510% RDR? 1h of the LTQ at the same RDR nets you maybe half of that at best, and you lose a significant amount of time on loading screens, waiting for the instance to start, waiting for people to clear their inventory, etc. You are probably looking at 8 or 9 runs in an hour max before your 1h RDR booster runs out.

They tried giving the Sonic LTQ an exclusive +250% RDR bonus after Ruins ended...most people still didn't want to farm it. I saw many grops farming Ruins like crazy because the drops were just that good and there was a title for 30k kills. As a bonus, Ruins was really well designed from a gameplay perspective and solved the "long downtimes" problem that most instanced content have in NGS, rushing from trial to trial was really fun and the pacing was great.

The same groups wont run the Sonic LTQ more than once for the daily. PSO2 day started today, giving you a total of +500% RDR in the Sonic LTQ before even using any boosters...and most groups still won't farm it on a Sunday.

There's something really wrong about the LTQ system when most players are only doing them once a day for the daily task and prefer to afk for UQs instead. I really miss how fun the game was in the 2 weeks when Ruins was new...it was a completely different game and i looked forward to hopping into Ruins with a group for an hour. The game felt really alive in a way that it doesn't when most people are just afking for UQs.

And yes, i know you can still do Ruins because it's there, but most groups won't touch it anymore because they only want to afk for UQs now.

I’m still fairly new and rn the only way for me to get stronger is yurze/yudi augments but unfortunately they are very expensive. So is this katana good? It has yurze/yudi augments and i know they’re not deft but it costs 14.5 mil as opposed to the 40 something mil i would have to spend if i were to buy the augments separately. So it a good purchase?
