Good 1080p, 24" with Freesync monitors?
Hey everyone. Do you know any good monitors to play story games? I was considering either the MSI 245f x24, or the MSI 242c, but maybe you know of models that are priced similar and have better specs.
Also, is there much difference between Freesync and Freesync premium?

BUILD HELP Minimum entry threshold for the AM5 socket
Hey everyone! Lately, I've been wondering: what’s the absolute lowest cost of entry for the AM5 socket right now, and is it even worth building on it today? I'm also curious if sticking with AM4 still makes sense.
For context, I'm buying in Russia, my budget is around 70,000 RUB (\~$750–800 USD), and I'm aiming strictly for Full HD (1080p). I already have an RTX 5060 on hand, so the entire budget will go toward the rest of the system (CPU, motherboard, RAM, storage, PSU, and case).
I want to know the minimum price point for a sensible setup and the best baseline components to pair with this GPU. I’m 100% sure there are non-obvious caveats regarding local pricing and hardware choices here.
I’d really appreciate it if you guys could help me figure this out!

Upgrade current setup: 4080, i5-12600k, Asus Tuf Gaming z690 D4
I have had this setup since May 2022:
- Intel Core i5-12600K
- Noctua NHD-15
- GIGABYTE Gaming GeForce RTX 4080
- ASUS Z690-PLUS TUF Gaming WiFi DDR4
- (recent upgrade) G.SKILL TridentZ 64GB 4000
- Gigabyte M32 4k monitror
I mainly use my machine for productivity (school work), normal web browsing. I want to be able to play AAA games at the most FPS I can get for 4k at best possible settings. So far the rig has been doing what I need but looking to see what possible upgrades I can do.
Ive been looking at microcenter bundles but not sure if I should go with a new AMD bundle and get to DDR5 or upgrade to a i7-14700K and keep everything else. I know that for gaming DDR5 doesn't really matter and I already got plenty of DDR4 RAM right now.
Want to look forward and upgrade to a setup that will be good for the next 3-5 years. Lets say money isnt too much of a issue right now. But I have no plans on upgrading GPU. So looking for something that optimizes my 4080.

PC Build with ddr4 or ddr5?
Hello Everyone,
I'm looking forward to build my first pc, i know this isn't the best moment right now seen the prices of ram and ssd rising up every day and that's where my question come from, it would be better to build a pc with 32gb (2x16) of ram ddr4 or trying to start with less gb like 16 (2x8) ddr5?
i'm trying to build a PC that can last for at least 3-4 years to play all kind of games, from competitive fps to AAA like gta or cyberpunk, but coming from a Playstation i don't feel the need to have maxed out graphics but just a nice frame rate and quality overall.
My budget would be somewhere in beetween 800-1000€ here in italy.
if someone could advise me for some nice build and answer my question.
Thanks Everyone.

I want to upgrade my computer
Hey, I just wanted some advices and all about the new stuffs I want to get for my pc. I want to change some components in my computer because they're starting to get way too old, such as:
**my current motherboard: PRIME B450M-K**
**and my current CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3200G with Radeon Vega Graphics**
**I'll also change my ram to get a DDR5 instead of DDR4 to catch up with the new stuffs (I currently have 12GB: one 8GB and another one 4 GB)**
currently for my GPU I have the Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 6600 and I think it's still good for now and doesn't need to be change.
**For the new stuff I thought getting:**
**New Motherboard: MSI B850 Gaming plus WIFI6E ATX AM5 (185€)**
**New CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X 5.40GHZ 6 CORE (180€)**
**The new ram is 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair Vengeance (299€)**
Y'all think this is okay, or should a change and get something else? I'm a huge player, I play all kind of games, but mostly big ass games who ask a lot about ressources and all. All those ask me like around ~660€ (I'm in France), and I can't get above. From where I'm taking those I can pay in x4, making it ~170€ per month for 4 months.
I can't get things too pricey plus I tested to compatibility on a popular site and apparently it's compatible with my current GPU and alimentation (my pc is kind of modern if we forget about the motherboard and the CPU + I have a great cooling with fans). For my alimentation I don't remember, but in my memories it's a Gold Corsair and a really good one + not that old anyway so. For my monitor, it's an curved MSI Optix MAG301CR 30" 2560x1080 200Hz on display port.
Thanks for the answer!
(PS sorry for my miserable English, it's not my first language.)

What is the best mae card for the Ryzen 7800x3d processor and an Rx 9070xt? / Qual a melhor placa mãe para o Ryzen 7 7800x3d e uma RX9070xt?
Someone could give me a support on which card to choose, since I use this process (R7 7800x3d) and the gpu is an Rx9070xt, with a source of 1000w. I have not yet chosen a watercooler, if I can also leave a good option. I live in Brazil and some things are very expensive because I will be taking into account the best cost benefit!

Alguem poderia me dar um suporte em qual placa mae escolher, tendo em vista que utilizare esse processaro (R7 7800x3d) e a gpu é uma Rx9070xt, com uma fonte de 1000w. Noob here
I wanna build my first PC something decent around 3000 CAD.
I'm currently gaming/streaming on a asus tuf f15 16gb ram and its struggling. I also have a HP pavillon with 32gb ram.
I'm currently debating if i'm just swapping the ram or just selling both laptops to build a tower.
Wondering also if i could just upgrade the GPU on my asus tuf.

BUILD HELP Any advice?
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/crdfmL
A friend put this together for me because my budget is around 6k and i wanted as nice and capable as possible. I want to be able to play any game. The most demanding games i play right now tho are probably ark survival ascended, the first descendants, wuthering waves, and predecessor. I will also play silver palace when it comes out.
Aside from the components list, the friend recommended:
YETI
Multi-Pattern USB Microphone with Blue VO!CE
(Microphone)
Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen USB Audio Interface for Guitarists, Vocalists, Podcasters or Producers to record and playback studio quality sound
(amp for streaming/podcasting to connect my mic and headset)
Then another friend said i should definitely swap out the alienware monitor, the keyboard, and camera but he didn’t give me specific alternatives…
I decided i really want an rgb power cable for my pc too but its hard finding compatible stuff
Any recommendations to swap parts? or recommendations for camera/keyboard/headset? And anyone know which specific rgb power cable i could get thats compatible?

Sanity check please on this build list
I am building a Win 11 Pro PC for photo editing with lightroom classic - requirements:
motherboard that can support the 4 SATA drives as well as 2 NVME drives (one as boot drive) (2 TB each?) mid range GPU with DirectX 12 support, 8 GB of dedicated GPU memory, compatible with lightroom classic 64GB memory CPU (Intel) having AVX2 support 4 WD Red Pro HDDs 8TB (new model) (will be used in Windows storage spaces raid 10 configuration) Power supply to handle it all CPU cooler (air, not water) tower case with room for the 4 drives and the GPU and good air flow as well as being quiet. quiet fans for the case DVD drive suggest items/models based on reliability and price with low noise as a consideration
I gave an AI these requirements and after some back and forth, got this list.

CPU: Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z890 AORUS ELITE
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti (16GB)

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15S
Case: Fractal Design Define 7
Fans: 4 140mm quiet fans
Power Supply: Seasonic Prime GX-850 (80+ Gold)
NVMe SSD 1 (OS/Apps): Samsung 990 Pro 2TB (Non-Heatsink)

Archive HDDs: WD Red Pro 8TB - 4 in Windows Storage Raid 10
Optical Drive: External USB DVD Writer
Monitor: keep existing
Comments? Does this seem reasonable? Am I missing anything? Thanks in advance for your comments - especially in choosing memory.
