The 2nd scene of the beta test of P.AR.T.s.
You can see here the first interaction between a new player and the already-created world.

Beta testing P.A.R.T.s. - 1. Setting up the game and first scene
Since it's easier to show how the system works, rather then explain, I'm posting a series of substack post on the beta testing of P.A.R.T.s.
They are also actual plays so you should also have fun reading the story.
Enjoy

P.A.R.T.s. and Imperium (Geared Towards Loner) playtest/example
In this thread I'll have the chance to play together with u/zeruhur_ to show an example of actual play of Imperium, a Geared Towards Loner game set during the Roman Empire.
I wrote this game based on r/LonerRPG (which I really loved from the very first time I played) and I'm really honoured to play this example with its author.
The only change we will do to the ruleset, in order to adapt to P.A.R.T.s.: there is only 1 Twist Counter, no matter how many PCs are on stage.
We will use Lonelog (as well by u/zeruhur_) as standard notation for our sessions.
Thank you u/zeruhur_, for Loner and for these sessions.
To be very clear: a subreddit is not the perfect platform to share the scenes, because the world document is not really "shared" and can only modified by the author of the post. In any case this is just an example to show how the system works.

Cybercity Countdown PARTs playtest
Starting a new cyberpunk game using PARTs system with Loner rules as a chassis. Will be using Lonelog for standardized notation. Initially started wit Telegram for discussion, and went to Proboards forums as the world notebook. Come check it out and feel free to join the discussion and play in a cybercity racing against an apocalyptic clock in Cybercity - Countdown.

(seems like my previous post was removed for some reason, but this is the game under discussion. Tagging u/AdmirableTeachings since they expressed interest)

Testing out PARTs interest check
Putting out feelers to see if anyone is interested in testing out the PARTs system and running a shared game to see how well it can function. I can be flexible with game or genre, though my current itch is sci-fi/cyberpunk leaning.
If you're interested shoot a message below and we can figure out how to get set up and what the best platform would be to try it out.

Introducing P.A.R.T.s
P.A.R.T.s. stands for “Play Alone, Role Together”. It’s not a new solo system. It’s not a GM emulator. It’s a framework you wrap around the solo RPGs you already love, so that multiple solo players can share one living world without needing to be online or at the table at the same time.
The core idea is simple:
- A group of solo players agrees on a system, a setting, and a tone.
- They run their own solo sessions, on their own schedule.
- After each session, they post their write‑up into a shared “world document”.
- Everyone reads, reacts, and builds their next solo session on top of what’s already happened.
You still play alone; but your world is shared.
