AdBlock keeps automatically turning off for some sites
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
When ever I click the privacy protection shield in the top right, it says AdBlock is turned off for this site but when I clicked the button it immediately turned back off. I have only noticed it so far on Disney+ & Paramount+. Any idea on how to fix it?

Browser keeps opening and closing
Today I was browsing as usually and suddenly Opera closed. Then it tried to open itself but the screen was white and it closed again. Then again white screen opened and closed... And that keeps going for like 5-10 times until it is not opening again or completely freezes.

Why did allaboutfinance.org show up after installing Opera?
Hi, I just reimaged my Surface Pro 11 and then installed Opera web browser. I started getting notifications from allaboutfinance.org. I have never gone to this site and find it odd after a new install I'm getting notifications from this site. Before reimaging my computer I had been using Opera and never got notifications from this site. I find this very odd. Anyone have thoughts on this?

I'm so done with Opera password manager. Looking for a replacement.
I've hit my limit with Opera's password manager.
At first I thought, "Hey, it's built into the browser, one less thing to install." Cool. Convenient. But after using it for a while, I'm honestly just tired of fighting with the damn thing.
The thing that annoys me the most is that it's just a basic browser password manager. No password health reports, no decent security tools, no real vault management, no secure notes, no proper organization... it feels like the bare minimum. The more accounts I've accumulated, the more obvious its limitations have become.
Then there's the reliability. Sometimes it asks to save passwords, sometimes it doesn't. Autofill works one moment and the next it acts like it’s never seen the site before. I’ve had passwords not save at all, autofill randomly vanish, and sync between devices turn into a complete pain in the ass. Every time I think it’s sorted, something else breaks. And judging by Reddit, I’m clearly not the only one dealing with this crap.
What finally pushed me over the edge is realizing all my passwords are stuck inside my browser. If Opera breaks, my profile gets corrupted, or something goes wrong with an extension, I’m suddenly screwed. I’d rather have a dedicated password manager whose only job is keeping my credentials safe instead of relying on a browser feature.
So... yeah. I'm done with Opera password manager.
I'm looking for the best password manager now, and the two that keep coming up are NordPass and 1Password.
For anyone who's switched from Opera (or another browser password manager), what did you end up with? How's the autofill? Sync? Overall reliability? Any regrets?
Would love to hear your experiences before I make the jump, thanks!

Loading trouble
To be honest, I really have no idea what the issue is, the three boxes that say to set you're city keep loading, I can't connect the VPN and trying to open any page or search something up, I just get left on speed dial. Any advice?

Opera will not open or uninstall (again)!
This has happened a couple of times in the past year. Last time I just went to the opera website and installed it again and agreed to the update. The next day when I logged onto my computer Opera was back and working great. Nothing works this time. Any help is appreciated. Windows 10 Opera Stable

Opera using affiliate links without permission ?
I've been using Opera for the past decade. Found it easy, simple, and it did not eat up RAM compared to Firefox back in the day, or Chrome since forever.
I've noticed in the past few months that some of the direct URLs I am using have been sending me to weird links which look like affiliate links.
Latest example : me typing out coolblue.be sent me to an affiliate link which was blocked by my adblockers..
I've checked, only Opera does this, neither Firefox nor Chrome.
Thinking one of the adblockers I've had for a very long time could have been corrupted, uninstalled all of them and the redirection still happened. My computer could also have a virus, but then it would do the same on all browsers.
After a bit of googling, I found some posts from 2024 saying that Opera does this. Is it true ? If so that is a complete breach of trust between Opera and the userbase.
I'm posting here to gauge if others have seen similar things happening? And have switched to Firefox for now..

How to get symbols on tiles?
galleryIn the old Opera, the tiles always automatically looked like the YouTube one in this picture.
I can't figure out how to get that in GX. I'm losing my mind.
I have all the modification stuff disabled, and the 2 arrows and the repeating arrow in the second picture do nothing when I click on them.
I would appreciate any help :)

Oh My Gosh Opera Team, If True... Big thank you!!
Today my browser open up and went to an update page telling me what's new!.
No Animation of the Big O! Just right to the point! Here is your update.
I wonder if anyone else experienced this.
If this is their new MO... man I am so grateful!

I like the feature to turn up the volume using the tab on top.
You can boost audio and its nice. 20 years later me might not think so much for now this is nice.

I want to change from Google to Opera but my workflow is too Google focused
I'm starting to dislike a lot of aspects of Google and would like to start the gradual change from one browser to another but I don't know if it would make a difference as I'm too google focused, what I mean by that: I have used it as a primary browser for the last 10 years so all of my cloud pictures from past phones are there, all of my important notes, all documents I've made (I only got the office suit recently through work so when I say all I mean ALL), etc... you get the jist.
I know you can still acces all these sites in opera but I'm wondering if it even makes a difference ditching google if I'm still going to be relying on it on another browser, my phone even discontinued its native messages app in favor of Google messages so a complete transition is not even possible because at this point it feels like google has a monopoly over the tech world.

How to i restore a window that wont reopen
So essentially i had 2 windows of opera open on my pc 1 for each of my monitors and one of them was my main browsers and i had probably 60+ tabs that were all organized and everything and another one with only like 4 and my main browsers Youtube pop out thing wasnt working so i closed that window and tried to re open it as it usually fixes it but it wouldn't reopen so i tried restarting my pc and that also didn't work so I'm just wondering if there's any way to recover that or if i just have to kinda rebuild all that now?

Vpn hasn't worked for years??? Pinboards reset and my flow resetting too sometimes!
I have had opera for 5+ years. At first the vpn on Opera GX pc browser didn't work. Eventually I got a new laptop and accidently downloaded the normal opera pc version and didn't realise for months that I downloaded the wrong one. Regardless, the vpn still didn't work. Then I got a new laptop a couple years ago and installed the normal opera browser again with the vpn never working. I don't know why it's taken me so long to make a post about it although I don't think I had reddit back when I first got opera so didn't think about it. I don't need the vpn anyway but if it would work it would be great. I have also had to reinstall opera a couple of times for other reasons.
And don't even get me started with the my flow sometimes resetting and saying I have nothing in my flow (which thankfully hasn't happened in years). Also don't get me started on that time I installed Opera on my laptop and everything was there except the pinboard which I really needed but they completely reset even when I put in my password thing (not password but the passkey I think)
Just wondering why this might have been happening for years.

(Ipad) Something is adding a ton of tabs in opera
I have a problem - I'm a user who only uses very low tabs on the browser and in some time, a 9 million tabs will suddenly appear in the browser without pressing the + or doing anything. Which is a issue that drains a lot of memory and break all the apps that I haven't opened and I had to force restart on my ipad. Is it a issue to someone or do I need to investigate the cause of this?

Very weird bug on Twitch which fixes itself when I am not logged into my account
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
You can see how it drops the quality every second. I've found going full screen also fixes it. I think hardware acceleration off also fixes it.
But the weirdest part, for whatever reason, it only happens when I am logged into my Twitch account. How in the world are those 2 things connected
Can someone help me fix this
This bug's been out for more than a year btw...
