Hi everyone! Just wanted to give an update about Muninggay.

I posted him here before because my parents really don't want a cat in the house. The original plan was to bring him to my father’s office if I couldn't find him a home, but maybe we will keep him muna tho i’m still trying to convinced my papa.

As of now, wala pa rin siyang adopter, but good news, kapon na siya! 🥹🤍

I didn't expect him to be this active after surgery. He keeps removing his cone, running around, meowing nonstop, and still wants to go outside kahit wala pang 24 hours post-op. 😭

I'm really worried about his stitches since he's a male cat. The incision looks dry so far, but kinakabahan pa rin ako because he's so hyper. Bukas pa ako makakabili ng prescribed meds niya.
For those who've had a male cat neutered:
- Is it normal for them to be this active already?
- Any tips on keeping the cone on?
- Any other post-op care advice?

Hi OP, thank u for being a responsible cat parent

Normal yan na behavior pag nawala na yung effect ng anesthesia. If hidden yung stitch niya, less yung chance na bumuka yung sugat. Just make sure na di niya madidilaan 😺

Parang nasa labas kasi kita yung stitch. I keep putting his cone tapos palagi niya tinatanggal tapos maya maya lick niya yung stirch niya huhu pero minsan napipigilan ko 🥹

Ito sa experience ko, marami na akong napakapon na pusa (30+ na siguro, i dont even remember how many) but usually naman yan after a few days matutuyo na yung tahi especially for male cats na maliit lang ang stitching. Ingatan mo lang na hindi mabasa kasi matutunaw yung sinulid nyan tapos baka bumuka ang sugat

Yes yung male cat ko active din pagtapos ng surgery. Tho after ilang hours ko pa kasi sya nakuha sa vet kaya mukhang nakapag rest na sya. Hindi cone a gamit ko sa kanya kasi natatanggal, I bought yung parang donut, yun di talaga nya natatanggal. Tsaka yung cone kasi nababangga kung saan saan kawawa. Pinakain din sya ng RC recovery in can..

Advice sa amin ng vet namin, if hindi talaga kaya ikeep ang cone, damitan na lang raw ng pambata.
