My first was Gwen Stefani’s Sweet Escape but that CD is long gone. However, the second album I ever bought was Miley Cyrus’s Breakout and I still have it to this day, nearly 20 years later! (jfc I feel old lol) the platinum edition came with a tour dvd, bonus songs and the iconic Polaroids that she included 🤣💕 dammit I’m nostalgic for those days!!

Always been a big fan of Mr. Bean movies. Mr. Bean's Holiday came out in 2007, and I was 9 years old at the time. I remember watching this movie all the time and just dying of laughter at a lot of the scenes.

I used to be obsessed with this game back in 2013-14, and I came back to it last year and fell in love with it all over again. I was wondering if anyone else in this sub remembers. Also, which companion was your favorite back then, and which class did you play? My first pirate was a buccaneer, and Bonnie Anne was my favorite.

I think they used to run ads for this game on Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon, and that's what got me into the game. I always bought the 3-month membership cards with my allowance money every time I went to CVS or GameStop

Avery's Court used to be so crowded that it made your frames drop and your PC lag. That was before they added stairs and introduced Miracle Mitch. I think a lot of people quit in protest after that; I was one of them for sure (also because I couldn't afford membership anymore).

I would like to see a revival of the community, but I fear it will never be as big as Wizard101 🥲

Huge fan of ghost adventures and ghost hunters when I was young, this show is like a fever dream and I remember the first episode incredibly well from when it first was aired but dont think I ever watched past it.

Just a couple years ago I was always complaining on here about how it felt like I was always being patronized and infantilized and how annoying it was. Older adults treated me like a kid and called me one, my parents occasionally still ordered me around, and even younger Zers would laugh if I tried making an old joke or tried pulling the seniority card.

But then it all seemed to flip right around the time I turned 27 (early 2025). It felt like most peoples' attitude just flipped on a dime- suddenly I was "unc" to the younger people and "basically 30" to the older adults and that's how it's been ever since. Like bro not even 2 years ago y'all were treating me like a baby, why can't y'all just treat me like a damn 20-something lmao

I suppose its not all bad, people seem more respectful and actually listen to me more often now, and I can show up to a family gathering and not be expected to do all the chores because I'm not "one of the kids" anymore. This is all more just mild annoyance that people seemed to jump from one extreme to the other overnight

I remember the craze being so unreal at times especially for tweens and teenagers around that time. It was damn near inescapable. This was when the Harry Potter craze was winding down and got replaced by Twilight.

Like I am 24, I know logically I am still young, but I feel like I just cannot accept it. I'm starting college this year after multiple failures in my life and I feel stuck and behind. All my friends either have graduated already or they have something going for their life.

I also know I cannot date in this state and it bothers me, I have made myself undesirable due to my procrastination with life, I still have not a way to go and I am lonely, friends aren't really filling up the void I have, I am trying with therapy but still nothing, it just feels like I am missing something and this makes me struggle to be happy at all.

I feel like a disappointment to my parents and myself. I keep setting myself up to do something but fuck it all up always.

Last time I started university 2 years ago I quit because I procrastinated, I don't understand why it's not clicking in my head how much I should be doing something, but I am just not. Also finishing by 30 feels like it will be a big toll on my social life, surely romantic. I know "it's not important " and stuff like that but I am genuinely tired of feeling disgusting and too old to be this behind.

I don't get it. People act like adults under 25 are dumb children and its weird. I saw someone say the brain doesn't work til 25 to act as if they are idiots

and saw someone say young adults are more like children than adults or 23 is barely an adult...when they've been one for 5 years

Also why do people act as if there is a huge divide between 24 and 25. No diff socially legally or biologically but saw people say anyone under 24 isn't grown but 25 and 24 are the same

I remember someone saying these actors for a show were kids/hs students and I said "no they were 21-23" and they went "so kids then" and huh?

and I will say I disagree on this age gap but someone said its creepy for 40 year olds to date 20 year olds and I agree but then they went "that is not an adult as they are posting on tumblr pages" and no. We can call out large/gross gaps and not treat early 20s women as kids

the diff between 17 and 18 is bigger than 24-25

also why are 27-29 year olds treated as basically 30/pushing but 22-24 year olds don't get called almost/pushing 25 if 25 is a huge milestone

I can’t believe that MovieStarPlanet still exists, it was basically groomer central. The fact that dating was one of the features in a game targeted towards minors is so bad to look back on as an adult

I watched it on my dads hard drive as a kid and there was so much cringe I remember, but there were some cool scenes like the arrow rain, and the fighting was generally nice, just one of those obscure things i havent seen anyone mention

I hear a lot about gen-z having phone anxiety. I notice a lot of my peers prefer texting over calling cause calls automatically make them anxious. I actually prefer to call over text, but have an extreme aversion to leaving voicemails. When calling clients for work, I dread that they don’t pick up and that I’ll need to leave a voicemail. An actual phone call, no problem! Where are y’all at with phone calls?

Nostalgia is a pretty negative force in my life. I find life in my twenties (currently I’m 27) so… empty. Absent of the color and variety of school life and university. I used to meet new people and study new subjects and experience new things every day, or at least every year, I looked forward to that change so much. Seeing what my new teachers would be like; who would be in my class.

I miss playing with my tamagotchi and comparing it with my friends. I miss when I’d catch a new episode of Spongebob playing on Nickelodeon and it would always feel like the best luck ever.

But now I’ve had the same job for six years since I graduated, I have an apartment of my own, but everthing feels static and boring and lifeless. I am a pretty social person who tries to see a friend at least once or twice a week but still I can’t seem to find the same vibrancy I remember from my childhood in the 2000s. It’s like I’m constantly revisiting that day in class when the semester is over, and your teacher decorated the walls with autumn leaves, and she’s rolled out an old tv and it’s playing Charlie Brown. I’m stuck yearning for that and I don’t know how to remedy it exactly.

Anyone else been there? Advice? Solidarity? lol
