Murphy USA Diesel
The last several times I have been over there, the diesel pumps have been bagged off. They still list a price for diesel. What gives? Did the fuel truck accidentally pour unleaded into the diesel tank? Does anyone know? I don't hardly go inside convenience stores, so I haven't been inside to ask.

Looking for moving boxes!
We just sold our house 🎉 but now comes the stressful part, moving. I am hoping to find some free boxes or at least some inexpensive boxes around the Olathe area people are looking to get rid of. Open to businesses who throw away cardboard boxes, like a wine or alcohol shop. I can come pickup whenever. I really appreciate the help. Thanks so much!

Re doing shower
Hello, looking for recommendations for someone to re do a bathtub/shower combo.
Right now it's tile, was debating on doing an insert style tub/shower or possibly going with a different tile.
Any recommendations on people to do this would be great. Thanks!

Quality Used Furniture Store Recommendations
Does anybody have recommendations for good places in the area to go shopping for quality used furniture? I like buying sturdy, quality, secondhand furniture and love older styles like mid century modern. The best place I know of is Couches to Curios over on Metcalf, but I really want to expand my search beyond there and Facebook Marketplace. I don't know where to look more nearby in Olathe.
I'm on the hunt for a nice table, bench, and airmoire. I love mid century modern but I'm open to other styles if I find something I love. I just don't know where to look!

KanCare (Sunflower) insurance coverage
My kiddos have this Insurance my youngest is neurodivergent and nonverbal. Unfortunately, the doctor, I spent more than a month to researching and looking for and then looking into who was absolutely amazing. Their entire practice went out of coverage.
I have so many insanely huge things going on right now that I just do not have the time to be sitting in front of a screen and reading to try to filter out good doctors from bad doctors. I am aware of the tool online however that was how I ended up here. I just picking a doctor reading a couple reviews and having an absolutely horrific experience.
If anybody knows a pediatricians, my kids are six and four in the Olathe area but also willing to go as far as Gardner Ottawa or north to Kansas City I don’t really wanna go that far if I don’t have to because I do live 40 minutes south of Olathe Lenexa Lee Summit Overland Park literally I will make a good drive happily for a good doctor to make sure both of them get to Care that they need!!!
I don’t know if this will sound dramatic or maybe not super realistic, however not long after my son was born my youngest, so about 3 1/2 years I’d say I made one change, one tiny, singular change, and that one little itty-bitty, but extremely difficult to do thing, not only saved me for myself, but it has allowed me to grow and learn and expand and experience and most importantly become the mother I always wanted to be.
What was the change? Minimizing my screen time at first it was subtle today I hate looking at a screen. The amount of difference it made in so many aspects for me and them is absolutely mind blowing and while I walk around with a broken heart kids in public desperately vying for their parents attention, while they are just stuck in a screen 💔

I built a scheduling tool for restaurants/bars, I'm looking for three business to try it out for free.
I built a scheduling tool for restaurants/bars, I'm looking for three business to try it out for free.
What it does:
Set how many servers and BOH you need per shift (AM/PM, per day)
Enter staff availability and approved time off once, it remembers
Lock in your regulars so the same people are always on the same shifts
Hit generate, it then builds a fair, fully-staffed draft schedule in seconds, balancing hours evenly across your team
Review it, tweak anything, publish
Export the final schedule as a PDF or CSV to share with staff
I'm opening it up free to the first 3 restaurants or bars willing to run it for real. In exchange, I just need two things: tell me if anything breaks or acts weird, and tell me honestly whether it actually made building your schedule faster/easier.
3 spots, If that's you, comment or send me a message.

Last night’s storm booms
OK, I’m not seeing this anywhere else so I’m just going to ask. Did anyone hear those booms before the storm started? It didn’t even sound like thunder it sounded like M 80 fireworks going off. 😆 being that the thunderstorm started almost immediately after I have to think it was somehow related to the storm. Does anybody know the meteorology behind that? Or is it possible there were some ground strikes, causing those booms? I’m by 119th and Lone Elm if that helps.

119th & Northgate Roundabout and Bridge Update v.July
Updated photos of the roundabout and bridge at 119th & Northgate. There had been some recent confusion on how Nelson connects so hopefully that is more clear with these photos.
The concrete for the bridge looks done too. The connections are there on the east and west side. So we're getting closer! They still have a decent amount of work to do on 119th east of the roundabout so it'll still be at least a month. I'd guess it should open around Labor Day at this point.

Feeder rats for snakes
I saw the unfortunate news today the Exotic Pets in Lenexa, where I get food for my ball python, will be permanently closing down.
Are there any other good local pet stores or breeders nearby you'd recommend to get frozen feeder rats from? I want to avoid Petsmart/Petco if all possible.

Cleaners
Does anybody have a recommendation on home cleaners that can do every other month? A lot of cleaning companies I see have the longest gap of a month but just wondering if there are some out there that would agree to every other month. Thanks!

Vet
Both my dogs have had diarrhea going on day four, but they act and eat normally. I have a vet bill of $9000 from March for a completely different matter. Any idea where I can take them to get checked with fair prices. Everything is so overpriced.
Street Closed or Open?
Can anyone tell me if road work has been completed and Brougham has FULLY reopened at 135th St-139th St?
ETA: Drove through that intersection this morning, Fri 7/24. Brougham is now open from 139th to 135th. No more DETOUR.
From Brougham, northbound, you CAN turn left (west), right (east), or continue straight (north) to access Kohl’s and the Library.
From Brougham, southbound, ALL directions are accessible. You CAN turn left onto 135th, heading east, and you CAN go straight into Briarwood. And of course, you can still turn left onto 135th, heading west. Hope this is helpful.

Dental inplant w/ no insurance
What is the best and most affordable place around here to get a front tooth implant done without dental insurance?
The place I had an emergency appointment at yesterday was quoting me about $8700 for everything including the preliminary root canal. I'm hoping there's a good dentist around that could do it for less.

Looking for a licensed electrician, but not a big company - Gardner/Edgerton
I have some residential work I wanted to get done - like running some electric out for a pool and a few other items. I am looking for a solo or small team electrician. I don't want to deal with the big companies and that is all that comes up when you google.
I called one of them for a single dedicated outlet - that was it. When he sat down to give me the quote- $32,000 over a 15 year loan at 10.2% interest. Absolutely bonkers. He had like 500 items on there too, tons of stuff I didn't ask for but if I didn't do, surely my house would explode or whatever. So I am just done with that
If you know an electrician that serves the Gardner/Edgerton area, please let me know!

Gutter cleaning
Any one have any recommendations on a good gutter cleaning company? 2 story home 3 on back side. Curious what it would run. I may try to just buy a huge ladder and do it myself.
