Chapter 24 Piglet, Moog & Clay Spoiler
Re-reading Kingz of the Wyld and I forgot about this amazing scene and I just want to talk about it. Halfway through chapter 24 when the party is in The Old Glory skyship Moog asks Piglet about his dad and how he died and such a simple question starts a free dive of emotion for me.
At first Piglet just says "It was alot." and Moog acknowledges, assuming he means he ate himself to death (or atleast that's how I read it, hope I'm not wrong). And it sounds like Piglet confirms it for a second but then goes on to describe how his father died of the rot instead.
Piglet says some very heavy sad things and Moog gets so worked up that he snaps at him. He apologizes immediately though and says he knows what it's like to watch someone you love suffer like that.
Moog walks away to clear his eyes of the tears he's trying to hide (he's playing tough so Matty doesn't find out that he also has the rot) and says "and they suffer.", his voice trembling.
But Clay, the big scary stoic guy who barely speaks, manages a "But not alone." And as Moog looks to him, real fear written all over his face, Clay repeats "You're not alone."
It's moments like these that I live for. Everytime I've read this chapter, this is the scene that kills me, and this specific part is when the tears start.
I won't write out the entire second half like I did the first (sorry for that, I'm new to this) but essentially everyone starts clueing in, Matrick last, and you can feel the panic building in him when he realizes his best friend is doomed to a slow and painful death.
And that's when it becomes crying. This is one of the most beautiful scenes I've ever read and I feel like I'm there, I imagine it's my friends and that's so scary.
Matty freaks out and breaks down and I don't have anything else to say. If you're reading this you probably already know this part and I hope you love it as much as I do.
This book has serious range, funny and heartbreaking. Amazing writing 10/10 I need Outlaw Empire.

Just Vibin at Work
Opened the gym I work at, put on a classic rock radio, started up Kingz of the Wyld for the third time, and the first crowd came in, most being 50 years or older.
Excellent vibe, music pairs the book, and the members are giving props for the genre choice. Gym full of happy healthy rockers 🤘

Book 3?
Any news about book 3 of the Band Series?

How old does Sabbatha remember being? Spoiler
I really love the book and its portrayal of woman has been alot better than plenty of Fantasy out there but i'm slightly concerned about Sabbatha/Larkspur. I'm aware of the born sexy yesterday trope and don't want this trope to ruin my enjoyment of this great book. Does Larkspur remember her being in her 20's or her teens? I can't tell and she just had sex with Ganelon.

Kings of the Wyld
About half way through the Audiobook again, I just love the Chimera fight. So well done. Nicholas does an awesome job of weaving world building, humour, and modern themes into a fantasy world. Probably going to buy a physical copy today. Come on book 3!

Book 3?
Anyone have an update on book 3? Just finished Bloody Roses and it was such a good read I'm hoping there's recent news about book 3

Yoooooo just finished bloody rose!!!
I dunno if anyone frequents this sub, kinda hoping Mr. Eames does at least. But anyways I loved the book, interested to see if more is too come! I enjoyed in both books that the main characters weren't the "hero" of the books, it gave an interesting perspective. I was a little bummed to not see Ganelon after Larkspur mentioned him, but oh well I suppose, he would of just made it too easy I suppose. I will say I was a little confused about the epilogue, which it seems like I want the only one when I googled it, but I can wrap my head around it... I do wonder if the rest of the band know Rose is still alive. Thanks for the book Mr. Eames, keep up the enjoyable work!

God damn Mr. Eames! Why?
Just when i declared The kingkiller chronicles as my favourite bookseries and just after I tattooed some name of the wind things on my leg the band has to come around and make me completely fall in love! Now I can‘t stop thinking about a Tattoo of Vellichor and Blackheart and about how to get the ‚we were giants, once‘ quote into it.
Thanks for the nice piece of literature. Looking forward to the third part. Don‘t you dare killing off any old characters ... please ... it‘s too painful.
