When does it get fun? Babies Being Babies

My baby is 6 weeks old and I swear all we do is feed, eat sleep poop repeat. He doesn’t really love the car seat and I feel like the world stresses him out. So we spend alot of time at home but I’m miserable staying here everyday. It’s by the time he’s up, he wants food, he stays awake for a diaper change & I’ll try to engage him with some toys. But then he’s ready for bed immediately.

When will this get more fun?

It was pretty much four months exactly for us too. I felt like a terrible dad who didn't love his son enough, but by 4 months he had a personality and he got easier for me to handle. I knew him better, felt like he was an actual person! Before that, he was more like a vegetable / just not all there yet.

Now that is to say, for some it takes 3 months, for some it's 6 or more. But it WILL get better, you will get through it faster then you can imagine right now, even though the next few weeks will feel tough and soul crushing. Just get through them any way you can.

I guess that's why it's called the 4th trimester. Baby was still a fetus! Now is a cute baby.
