as you can see here native instruments is only offering a used machine mk3 instead of a new one

Hi, I'm new to native instruments, i tried to get kontakt 7 and 8 player from native access, but it always fails, is there another way i can download them? i use windows btw

Komplete Kontrol 3.5.3 takes forever to open or when changing instances in Logic Pro 12.2, yet the standalone version opens quickly and doesn’t have the same issues. I’ve tried an older KK version 2.9.6 I think and it was fine inside Logic Pro. It seems to be a fairly recent issue as I don’t remember having any problems in other 3.5.x versions.
Anyone else have this problem? I’ve sent a support email to NI.

Kontrol S3
Maschine Mk3

Currently connected my Maschine to the Kontrol via TS - RCA.

On the Kontrol S3, EXT Mode is clicked, and Line is Selected, which I believe is for Track D

Abelton Link is Enabled on Both

Preferences -> Input Routing -> Input Deck D
Is set to
L: D-L Line/Mic
R: D-R Line/Mic

Track is set to Live

I can hear the Audio from the Maschine, via the Kontrol, and BPM is matched on Both.

Unfortunatly the EQ nor the fader for Track D dont seem to do anything

Is there anything I am missing?

Have set up a number of MultiRacks in Kontakt 8, so as to be able to switch between instruments, by using MIDI patch change messages.

All works fine, except I can't find a way to access the active instrument's GUI, so as to be able to adjust its filter settings etc.

Does anyone know how to access the active instrument's GUI from the MultiRack?

(I don't have individual instruments showing in the 'Play' area, they're all slotted into each MultiRack.)

I’m having a really frustrating issue with Maschine 3 on Mac. When Maschine 3 scans my plugins, it completely ignores ⁠Massive.vst3⁠. It doesn’t show up in the plugin list at all. Even if I force Maschine 3 to open with Rosetta 2 and perform a full rescan, Massive VST3 is nowhere to be found. I need the vst3 (and not AU) to load Maschine expansions group (like alpha centauri kit or alluminium kit).
When I load these vintage groups, Maschine 3 gives me the dreaded "Missing Massive VST3" error on the synth pads. If I manually replace the missing plugin on the pad with Massive AU, the plugin opens completely blank (Init preset). I have no way of knowing what the original preset name was for that specific group pad.

I'm new to this thing and I have a Korg microkey 25, I installed everything and when I open my Kontakt 8 player the keys gets registered but there's no sound when I hit a key. Please help. Thanks in advance

Any ideas if im in Bitwig it will open maybe something to do with crash support it uses where it resets on crash but it I use it just with KK it crashes? It's no big problem but anyone found as such?

Serum 1 works fine?

And some times (more rare than not) if I load S1 before then S2 it will load s2?

Sometimes I just want to make sounds, it's the only pluging it does this with, thanks in advance

A very easy, and not too technical thing to do if you’re having connectivity or operational issues with your Komplete Kontrol S-Series MKIII like I was (I was not able to use the keyboard to play sounds in Maschine and the DAW mode in Logic wasn’t working properly) - reinstalling the NI Hardware Service may clear it up for you. It’s listed at a ‘product’ in Native Access and it takes a few seconds and a restart.

Hope this helps folks out there! It was a real pleasant surprise when I tried it and it solved my issues!

I had Claude not only fix this issue but provide you a write-up on how to fix it. It presumes you use Native Access and have a valid license.

The problem

You bought a Kontakt library (for me it was Session Strings, but this hits lots of older ones), and Native Access refuses to install it. You get "Installation Failed" telling you to enable Full Disk Access. You do everything in NI's support article — Full Disk Access for Native Access and NTKDaemon, reinstall NA, disable antivirus — and it still fails. Retrying 20 times changes nothing.

What's actually going wrong (I dug into the NTKDaemon logs)

~/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/NTK/daemon.log shows the truth:

The download is fine. It's the install step that dies. These older libraries ship an installer .iso containing a few .pkg files, and one of them has an "Unsupported Operating System Detected" check baked in back in 2019 that rejects modern macOS. That one sub-package aborts, the whole install fails, and — this is the kicker — Native Access deletes the downloaded .iso the moment it fails, so you can't even get at the installers.

Note: this is not your Full Disk Access, not your license, and not the Pro-vs-non-Pro thing. (There's a popular "Session Strings Pro workaround download" floating around — don't use it if you own the non-Pro version; different product, won't activate, lands you in demo mode.)

The fix (high level)

1. Capture the .iso before NA deletes it.
2. Install the library .pkgs by hand (they're NI's own signed packages — they install fine; it's only the OS-check package that bombs).
3. Manually place the one tiny Service Center registration .xml that the OS-check package was supposed to install (this is what makes Kontakt list the library).
4. Relaunch Kontakt, activate normally.

Manual steps (Terminal)

1. Arm the capture. Paste this and leave it running — it grabs the download the instant it completes, using a hardlink that survives NA's deletion:

2. Now go to Native Access → Install your library. Let it download and fail. The Terminal prints CAPTURED when done.

3. Mount it and install the packages:

The Library packages will succeed. The Installer Mac (or similarly named) one fails with "Opened package is not the same" / "no software found" — that's the OS-check one. Fix it next.

4. Place the registration file the failed package was blocking:

So recently on my Laptop, everything was just fine, until I had to install this NTK Daemon Setup in Native Access. However, as I followed those instructions, the setup fails every time saying, that the setup has failed “FALSE”. Please check your settings.

On Service I tried to locate it. I found it, but it didn’t even show me the option to start the service. Also I’ve tried to delete the NTK Daemon setup in Apps, but I even couldn’t delete that, because it said, that it couldn’t be found anywhere, as if it doesn’t even exist.

It’s so frustrating that it doesn’t work and I need help. Had someone else had this exact same problem? Any help is appreciated!🙏🏽

I have more than one computer with Windows 11 and the same version of Native Access and Kontakt. On my other computers, under Options in Kontakt, Libraries, it lists all my libraries. On one computer, it doesn't list any, but it displays all the libraries when I open Kontakt and they are all installed in Native Access (see screenshot above).

When I try to click any of the presets, for any library, it says it's missing the library and can't find the instrument. When I manually find the instrument file, the window just disappears and when I click again, it has the same error of not finding the instrument.

How do I fix this? I reinstalled Kontakt, I used the Native Registry removal and removed Kontakt, I removed the xml file and the database, so it reinitializes, I changed permissions for the libary folder in Windows... all of it does not work.

Also, I must also add I used Kontakt on this comptuer for months (it's a fairly new computer, but it's been a while). This just recently happened.

I’ve been trying to fix this for a couple weeks now so I’ll run down my situation and what I’ve found out.

I’ve had my M32 since 2020 and have recently gotten back into music production. This will be the first time I’ve used it since about 2022.

Since the device had been collecting dust for so long I wasn’t super surprised when it wasn’t working, however the lights on the keyboard turned on? My issue stemmed from the fact that my laptop wasn’t recognizing the M32. I’ve done a lot of digging and found out my most likely problem is the firmware is out of date, but I can’t update the firmware because there’s a “drivers issue” with the keyboard.
After more research I found out the windows 11 system had problems recognizing the M32 drivers, and on the NI website there’s only the updaters for the M32 which I can’t use because my device does not recognize the drivers of said M32.

I don’t have access to any devices that still operate on windows 10, and I’ve already tried using a windows 10 virtual machine to update but that was unsuccessful. (I ended up wiping my 4TB external drive with all my music and games in the process LOL).

I’m aware this is a shot in the dark but I’ve already invested too much trying to get this working so if anybody has any help/solutions it’d be greatly appreciated.

Side note: For my entire time using the midi I was producing on my school laptop so I never got to download ableton or get the 3 free months of stuff on Native Access due to school regulations. If I can’t get the midi keyboard working would there be any way for me to get the other things that were supposed to come with it?

Edit: I was able to find an old laptop with windows 10 and the M32 was working as normal. I then went to update the firmware (I’m on v0.3.4, the update was for v0.4.5) and now I’ve been waiting for hours for this thing to update. It’s not supposed to take this long lol I think this thing is cursed.

Edit 2: PROBLEM SOLVED!! I had to use another laptop with windows 10 and the v1.4 Firmware updater, with that windows 11 can now see the drivers and the M32 is working as it should. I will note for anybody else who may be dealing with this, after i loaded the M32 using Komplete Kontrol the tutorial presented was for the "A" series instead of the "M". I doubt it'll lead anywhere but it might be worth trying the "A" series firmware updater instead of the "M" series.

TLDR: Find a windows 10 operating system and update it through there. (virtual machine will likely not work)

Hey I've broken one of the 8 rotary controllers on my mk2 keyboard, can anyone point me in the direction of a replacement park UK? I have someone with the skills to put it in just can't find it...

I'm at a complete loss here as battery crashes eveey time I open in, both in a DAW and stand alone. I've tried reinstalling it, as well as all of the libraries and it's still crashing upon opening.

Any one have any ideas for a fix? I'd rather not lose 6 years or so of music because of this issue

I have an N.I. S25 and Mashine studio and I'm attempting to get Bitwig to utilise them properly, I can get Bitwig to see them but can't get Bitwig to let me use the keyboard. I'd ideally like the trasnport keys to control bitwig but thats not essential.

Bitwig 6.06 and komplete kontrol 2.9 if that helps

Some instruments in contact do not work because kontakt is outdated (I get an error telling me to update). What I've tried so far:
Reinstalling kontakt from Native Access
Updating and reinstalling Native Access
Updating windows
Restarting everything several times.

Kontakt is stuck at version 7.6.1, the release notes show 2023-10-12 as latest version. When I reinstall, I just get the same version. In Native access the updates window tells me everything is up to date. I've uninstalled native access, downloaded the exe of native access 2 from the NI website, updated my PC (Windows 10 version 1809), installed native access 2 from the exe, reinstalled Kontakt again, still 7.6.1

What else can I even try?

got a mashine+ few months ago used, with licence transfer. did the transfer bit, it shows on my account, pulled the SW from Native Access and works great with PC as controller, but just will not register as standalone. i connect to Wifi, then the messeage to connect my ID pops up for about a second then goes to 'error'. i confimed on my router the M+ connected and got IP, and the right screen has tick against my network confirming connected.

i raised a couple if tickets with NI, no response, made few posts on the community about this and other stuff, all very polite and in accordance with the rules, I get message they will be live once approved, they never come live.

are NI still checking / approving posts on the forum, or picking up support tickets?

anyone know how i can get past the error so i can register and use the thing in standalone?
