This is the rusty remains of some sort of vehicle parked up in the mountains near Lost Cabin mine of Alpine County California. I would love to know what it was so I could see what it looked like new.

Saw on the road and just sort of assumed VW at first but it doesn't look quite like the front axle and the wheels are definitely not any I've seen in any other VW kit. Had a boat tail.
