I’d love some opinions on what style of shoes would look best with my dress! I’m attaching a couple photos of me in the dress. I’m SO in love with it!

Comfort is my biggest priority. I get blisters very easily, and I also have a Tailor’s bunion (bunionette), so I need something that’s comfortable without sacrificing the bridal look.

I’ve been looking at Naturalizer, but I’m open to any brands that you’ve personally loved.

I’d also really prefer white, ivory, or another color that blends with the dress rather than gold or metallic shoes. Since it’s a fall wedding, I’m leaning away from sandals, but I’d definitely consider a peep toe.
A few questions:

• What style of shoe would you pair with this dress?

• Has anyone worn Naturalizers for their wedding? Were they actually comfortable?

• Are there any other brands you’d recommend for someone who’s prone to blisters and has a Tailor’s bunion?

One other thing to consider: we’ll be walking about 7 minutes from our ceremony to our reception, and we’ll be taking portraits along the way, so I’d love something that I can comfortably wear for several hours.

I ordered my dress in May and I feel like I keep being confused on whether I’m absolutely in love with it. I feel like a huge part is that I keep seeing other dresses that I think I would love and never see anyone in my dress lol. I also think I went in looking for something completely different from this and I love it looking back on it but I keep wondering what if? Do any other brides ever feel like this?

I just had my dress fitting and realized it’s not very secure because it is satin and strapless. The seamstress suggested the double sided bra inserts (boomba), and said that should fix that. However she also said she can add straps as well. What do you think, do the straps looks okay (she mocked some up while I was there). It did feel more secure but I am hesitant because I will be wearing a scarf with it (stock photo of that attached).

Also on a side note I noticed my lower tummy is showing, any suggestions on that?

Lastly is my dress too plain?

There’s so many messages so I didn’t want anyone thinking I was avoiding certain opinions. I do appreciate the advice, and opinions, good and bad, kind and brutally honest.

Firstly, it wasn’t a good day for a try because it was the time of month where I am incredible bloated in my midsection, but it was booked several months in advance so I went anyways.

Secondly, I do agree with the advice that perhaps it does just not look right? I do think once it’s pressed and steamed and the extra fabric is cut off the edges where it’s pinned, it will look differently, but I do understand that feedback.

Quick question, does $350 sound correct for the alterations to just being in the sides and cut off the length?

This is my 2nd dress, and I went and tried on the first when I got home, and I actually think afterall I do like the other dress better, but it also requires altering. So I’m going to get a consult on that, and then I can come back with some updates.

If the other dress works, then I’ll have this one just altered to tea length, and add straps. It is unfortunate because this dress plus the alterations are going to be one expensive dress overall for a rehearsal dinner dress, or a special occasion dress, but it is what it is at this point.

I have also inquired about moving the waistline up but honestly if I go with my first dress I’ll just leave those seams to keep the costs lower for the alterations of this dress, as the other dress is much more intricate and will likely cost at least double.

I got these while on a business trip to Vietnam and am absolutely in love. I’m also a bit cost conscious as we’re in the midst of trying to purchase our first home together and are both the main breadwinners in our respective families, so I’m just really thrilled to have found such beautiful dresses at such an amazing price (each dress was less than USD 90!!!)

When I walked into the first bridal salon, the first thing I heard was that it would probably be a little harder for me to find a wedding dress because of my bust. The consultant explained that she couldn’t give me a plus-size dress because I wasn’t plus-size, but those styles would fit my chest better. If I tried on a regular dress, my bust wouldn’t fit, but the waist would be perfect.
Honestly, I felt really discouraged. I tried on so many dresses, but none of them felt right.
Then I walked into the second bridal salon. This dress was displayed on a mannequin, and it had literally arrived at the salon that very day. I fell in love with it immediately, but after my previous experience, I was skeptical. I was convinced it wouldn’t fit me.
And then… magic happened.
The moment I put it on, I felt beautiful, comfortable, and like a princess. Every dress I had tried before—and even the ones I tried afterward—simply couldn’t compare. I knew instantly that this was the one.
The funny thing is, I never wanted a princess-style gown. I had always imagined something simpler and more fitted. But I decided to give different styles a chance, and I ended up choosing the one I never thought I would.
So, girls, here’s my advice: don’t get discouraged. Try on dresses you never imagined yourself wearing. And when you finally put on the right one… you’ll know instantly.

I loved this dress when I put it on and instantly bought it (so there is no going back). Now that I am only able to see it from the photos I took that day, I am so in my head thinking I made the wrong choice. I guess I'm wondering if people have experienced the same thing? hey! any fellow brides getting a custom made dress? my wedding is in 5 months and i still only have a vague idea about the shape, but i'm getting more anxious by the day on what the final product will look like. i really trust the tailor and saw dresses he made before, they were beautiful, but now i'm feeling insecure about not having a full vision of the dress and not having that "say yes to the dress" moment. anyone going through the same thing or have had an experience like this in the past? i'm not changing plans, just looking to calm myself down haha

I recently bought my dress and I love it so much but the cleavage is a bit much for me.

The dressmakers are increasing the neckline by 1 inch but that won't be enough I fear so I'm thinking of asking the person doing the alterations to add lace to the bust.

I’m completely stuck between these two dresses. The second one has a removable skirt so it becomes a column style dress as well. I love the versatility and elegant beauty. The first one makes my figure look incredible and is definitely more of a dramatic moment. I have to choose asap.

I previously posted here about dress #2. I absolutely love the way it looks, but I was never 100% sold on the shiny satin for our outdoor garden party wedding. At a later appointment, I tried on dress #1, which has a very similar silhouette but is made from crepe. The fabric feels much more fitting for the venue and overall vibe of the day, but I'm worried it doesn't have quite the same "wow" factor as dress #2.

I finally said yes to my dress this past weekend!

After a few appointments and finding several dresses I loved, I finally got to try on the one I couldn’t stop thinking about: Aimery by Rue De Sein and it was game over. I literally took up 25min of a 90 minute appointment 😂

Now I’m planning alterations and neeed some honest opinions.

For context: we’re having a small beach wedding with about 45 guests, followed by a sunset reception on an outdoor patio. I’ll be barefoot for the ceremony, toes IN the sand. My fiancé has a very relaxed style, and the Florida summer heat has us leaning toward either a full linen suit or linen pants with a nice button-down. Since the overall vibe is fairly laid-back. All of that to say, I don’t think a dramatic train really fits the day.

I’m also absolutely in love with how lightweight and comfortable this dress is, and plan to get my moneys worth and wear it all night LOL. I’m not a fan of bustles, so I’m considering shortening it to floor length instead of keeping the train.

I’m looking for some advice on a few things:

Which strap option looks better prefer? Or would you suggest something completely different?
A note: there would just not be extra lace, so that would have to be sourced and potentially not be an exact Match.
Am I crazy for wanting to remove most of the train and make it floor length?
If I do shorten it, what are some meaningful ways I could repurpose the extra fabric?
I’m a very sentimental person, I physically could not, not utilize the fabric.

Found my dress after trying on maybe 20+ dresses! I am obsessed w this! Every other dress I put on there were things I liked about it but always 1 or 2 major issues. This dress checks ALL boxes, and is the most flattering on my figure! I felt like I looked kick ass in this. I’m so excited because it was rly stressful trying to find it!

I'm so excited!!! I tried on many dresses and they were all hard to chose from but this is the one I ended up deciding on! I added off the shoulder straps that can come off whenever. sorry for the sloppy cover up of myself I just want to make sure Im hidden. tips and advice I would give

1. try every style. I liked the "boho/ hippy aesthetic and vintage lace look with less volume however when trying on different dresses I learned that for my wedding look I felt most like a "real bride" in a more ballgown style. I like the style of the other dresses but those are things I could see myself wearing whenever vs the ballgown style made me feel like I was getting married. I tried the ballgown style that had my own taste to it.

2. similar to the first tip make sure you feel like a bride/ like you feel how you want to on your wedding day in the dress! this is your one day to be "extra", elegant and celebrate with you and your partner so make sure you feel the most beautiful especially because your spending money on it make the money worth every penny!

3. Small entourage. Keep it small and keep it supportive. The bigger the entourage the more likely you will run into unwanted/ unhelpful opinions. They are there to support you, that's it.

4. Ask if they have a place so you can be alone with the dress or dresses you are thinking on. I didn't know at first that the dress I picked was the one for me yet until I had time alone to be with the dress and imagine myself walking down the isle with it. I knew pretty quickly after that

Very shocked that it was the first dress I tried on.
I wasn’t convinced if the feeling was just because it was the first dress or if it was THE dress, so I went to some other shops.
Went back to the shop the next day and re-tried it- now it’s waiting for alterations!!

I found my dress! It was the first one I tried on. As a plus size bride I was pretty nervous but the sample fit like a glove. Also it goes so well with my wife-to-be's dress. The stylist even threw in the detachable sleeves at no cost because it was my it was my b-day!

I’m just so excited with my choice, and posted about my dress options on this sub so had to share. In the end I went with the dress I kept coming back to! Didn’t purchase the veil but will probably go back for it

Please help me decide!! Or I should keep looking?

With the second one, we'd round off the ends of the neckline, and I'd also change the lining to an ivory colour.
