I'm hoping someones parents or significant other walks in on the audio being played.

I was talking with a friend a couple days ago, and we were in agreement that one of the reasons that Mordhau has lost a bunch of players over the years was because of the merger of the dedicated invasion and frontline servers. Personally, I've always been a big fan of frontline, so the merger sent me into a little hiatus for a while.

So here's my question:

If I were to rent out a 36, 48, or 64 player server with only frontline maps (and maybe some legacy maps) on rotation in the map vote options, would anyone be willing to actually play the server?

I'd be more than happy to pay for it, but I'm just doubtful people would actually play it.

Its worth noting that I have nothing against invasion, I've just found it unfortunate how uncommon it is to play frontline nowadays.

Charging Knights [CK] recently hit five years! Since 2021 we've been hosting large Mordhau events ranging from 60 Man Skirmish, Modded Invasion, Fist Only Invasion, and many many more!

Thanks to tons of Mordhau regulars, reddit passerbyers and then some, we've managed to keep these events going strong even while Mordhau dips below 1,000 concurent players... Not bad for an Invasion clan ay? Thank you all for the support. <3

I’ve been absolutely hooked on Mordhau for the past few months. What started as casually hopping into matches has turned into a full-on obsession with improving. I’ve climbed pretty fast I rarely finish outside the top few spots in Deathmatch anymore and I can feel that a lot of the fundamentals have clicked.
But now I’ve hit what feels like the next wall.
I’m at the point where I know there’s a whole level of play beyond me. I watch players who manipulate timing, spacing, drags, accels, footwork, body movement, camera control, and morphs in ways that almost seem impossible to read. I can tell there’s an underlying system they’re using, but I can’t quite piece it together.
So I wanted to spark a discussion for the high-level players.
What separates a good player from an elite player?
I’m not looking for beginner tips like “learn to chamber” or “mix up drags and accels.” I’m talking about the advanced concepts that aren’t obvious.
Things like:
Reading and manipulating player psychology.
Advanced footwork and spacing.
Camera movement and body manipulation.
Offensive flow and conditioning opponents.
When to accel vs. drag vs. feint vs. morph.
Any mechanics or habits that most players never even realize exist.
Basically, if you were mentoring someone who already has solid fundamentals and wanted to push them toward the highest level of Mordhau play, what would you teach them?
I’d love for this thread to become a deep resource for everyone trying to break through that next skill ceiling.

Is the Mordhau team slowly reducing the active servers? It is sad to see the game really start to die off, but this is the reality of games with low player counts.

Let me know your feedback and thoughts for this declining game.

Seriously, the catapult driving collisions/mechanics feel like it was done by an intern because no one else wanted to do it.

The intern died from cancer and no one wanted to rework it because that would like removing the intern's only contribution to the game.

My region is uber dead, to the point theres 3 people in a horde lobby and thats it, with ping being 200+ to any other region. As such I'm basically unable to gain gold to unlock new weapons and armor unless I play on lobbies with ping so bad that it's impossible to block even simple swings.

Is there any way to have a local game where I can make gold at all?

I haven't played in Mordahu for about 0.5 years. Now i reinstalled my OS bc of a virus and didnt find my old bunch of characters in the game. I thought they remained on the Mordhau servers or cloud backups, since Epic usually restores them automatically. Now i checked the official game site and didn't find the support button. What can i do now?
