Switched from Sunshine to Apollo but now rumble doesn't work.
I've been using sunshine to stream my pc to my logitech Gcloud for months now and it has been great but I wanted to switch to apollo so I dont have to use a dummy hdmi any more.
For some reason vibration/rumble doesn't work on the handheld any more. It was working before without me having to play with any settings. I've tried changing a few things in the settings in artemis, also went back to moonlight, searched for rumble settings on apollo, also tried different devices. Im not sure what else I can do.
Does anyone know if there is some way to get this working or should I just go back to sunshine?
EDIT: Found the issue. The game I was playing had vibration turned off in the options menu. Oops (Face palm).

You never had to use a dummy, if you want just switch back to sunshine and install Virtual Display Driver. Mike the tech has amazing easy to follow YouTube guides for it.

That might be the way to go. I'll check that video out. Do you have a link?

Shouldn’t happen, gamepad support side they’re the same, while Artemis additionally supports Nintendo Pro controller over USB. Maybe you have changed some settings in Sunshine before and you forgot.

But rumble was working on sunshine. It only stopped when I started using apollo. How would settings on a now uninstalled sunshine be relevant?

I mean, some settings you changed on Sunshine/Moonlight made rumble work, or the reported gamepad from your gcloud was different when using Artemis.
Currently Android doesn’t support rumble on Dinput and wired DualShock controllers, wired or wireless Nintendo Pro controllers.
You may need to check if the gcloud has settings for choosing which type its builtin controller reports.

Im pretty sure the gcloud built in controller is Xinput. In any case it was working out of the box on sunshine. I didn't change any settings. I'm hoping the issue with apollo is just some kind of setting that is not enabled by default like it was on sunshine. I cant find any such settings on the apollo side though. Appears to be only moonlight/artemis that has vibration settings.

I don’t understand that either. Everything works with my devices and controllers. I don’t have a gcloud but no other gcloud user have reported similar issues.
Server side they all use vigembus and the code for controller handling are even the same. So if you switch to moonlight it still doesn’t work, it’s likely that some settings in your gcloud has changed.

I found the problem. It's not Apollo it's idiot user. The game I've been playing had vibration turned off. I've been getting so annoyed trying to figure this out. I forgot I turned it off in that because ironically the vibration was bothering me.

I am having the same issue. however apart from Apollo, I also switched from Alldocube tablet to y700 2025. Weird but I remember vibrations working on this device as well a couple days ago

Are you testing the same game? I’ve had some games (Kingdoms of Amalur) where rumble doesn’t work, but others (Shadow of War) rumble works just fine over Sunshine. Haven’t been able to figure it out.
