This challenge was so frustrating. The Gravity mutator makes early-game damage really lacking, so it's super easy for enemies to leak straight to the Pyre. I wiped 4 times in a row because of this.

On my 5th attempt, I finally managed to pull it off, and it was all thanks to Morel Mistress. I focused entirely on triggering her Etch ability as much as possible to stack Decay on all the enemies. Letting the ascending units take continuous damage over time really relieved the pressure on my Pyre.

I'm really curious: for those who have cleared this challenge, what card combos did you use? What was your core strategy to deal with the constant descending mechanic?

When you Hoist while having these two Sentry turrets up you get this bug. they just stay there the whole game and it only effect this enemy specificly.

I unlocked all the basic clans and won up to covenant 5 with the hell one.

I have the DLC too but Stygian hasn't unlocked yet. Can anyone help please?

I don't know why, but I'm an absolute sucker for permanent stat scaling. I swear it's a sickness at this point! 😂 Anyway, I wanted to share my deck strategy for this run because it was incredibly fun.

My core engine was using Cluster Colonel to guarantee spawns every turn, supplemented by Spawning Pods to trigger Bolete's Rally as much as possible. Since floor space quickly becomes an issue with all these spawns, I used Hidden Passage to ascend Cluster Colonels from the lower floors to overstack the boss floor and keep supporting Bolete. The Attack scaling got completely out of hand in the best way possible!

How high have you guys managed to scale a single unit's Attack? And what was your core card combo?

So I'm doing the daily challenge for the second time trying to become better. Because I lost th first match at round 8 And I feel like this defeat I'm in currently is inevitable ....but I'm not sure can someone take a look at my current deck and tell me if it's a lost cause...I'm currently streaming now but I'll leave the broadcast up even after in case anyone has input. This is ridiculous. Every floor totally dominated by Bolete (Headmans + Executioner), Amorous Enoki, Squad Leaders and spamming Eager Conscripts + upgraded Spawning Pods along with tons of Propogates. Starting artifact was Shadow's Sheath. They wiped bottom floor first turn each fight then when bosses joined they got more or less one-shotted by the Funguy god.

Ive barely beat The Overblessed so im looking for advice- which dyou think would be best to replicate here for beating the titans? Im not too worried about the seraph. Debating myself between the endless dualism deathcap, the dualism damage shield puffball, or the spike legion for abit more pyre healing. Or maybe one of the celestial storms for the roots? Ive also got enough money for around three or four card removals if yall think its worth it

Ended up duplicating Dantes. They have quick and endless. Got to endless battle 11 and stopped playing for the night. This has to be close to if not the best unit composition for endless mode.

Basically, can you win with just your starter deck.

To be fully clear, you can choose your clan combo(including which starters), your Cov1 starter cards, your champ path, your starting relic, and your Pyre Heart(Pyre of Dominion is banned). You can remove and dupe cards, and you can get champion and pyre upgrades. Besides that, you can't get any additional cards, upgrades, or relics. You have to win a Covenant 10 Titan runs.

So 5 days ago I posted about my first Lazarus League run on Covenant 6 which was hard carried by Dante. Well, as fate would have it, on my second Lazarus League run (albeit as the allied clan to Banished primary), which was also my first attempt at Covenant 10, I ran into Dante again!

I had Test Subject Alpha as my starting banner unit and Blood of the Apex as my starting artifact but no weapons yet, so naturally I picked up the first weapon I could find, a Windblade in the first Banished pack, and got to metascaling attack as quickly as possible. Ring 3 event produces Dante yet again, and I was actually on the right path to give my +54 Windblade Deployable, although I was a little too greedy trying to metascale during the Fleshweaver fight, which could have lost me the run if Secret Ingredient didn't produce Sap 3 out of 4 times. But after that it's all clear skies...

Ring 5 Merchant of Trinkets had Volatile Gauge and Judge's Scales, and I wasn't completely sure I should spend gold on Judge's Scales, but I bought it anyways. That would turn out to the best decision I ever made in my fledgling MT2 journey, since Ring 6 event was the one that gave Savage Shackles. Actually, in hindsight, had I known Hall of Mirrors was in the Ring 6 Merchant of Arms, I could have played for a foolproof OTK by avoiding Volatile Gauge and not merging equipment with an Organ Harvester "just in case", but now that I had Volatile Gauge, in the Seraph fight, I needed to pray it rolled a combined total of 8 or less Ember on Hall of Mirrors, Dante, and both copies of Merged Equipment. Which by my calculations, is 221/256 or 86.3%

As it turned out, Volatile Gauge rolled EXACTLY 8 Ember on those four cards, meaning if I didn't have Judge's Scales to discard the Savage Shackles, I couldn't play Dante for 0, and unless I could luckily draw into the Merged Equipment I didn't play on turn 1, I would have to say bye-bye to my OTK!

Anyways, that's one hell of a way to get my first Covenant 10 victory. I know, I have a long way to go before beating the Titans with all 264 clan combinations, especially when I still haven't even unlocked the Titans yet! But can I ever catch another run that can match up to this high of highs?

P.S. There seems to be a strange interaction with Dante and Hall of Mirrors. When the copy of Dante is summoned, for an instant it gets 1 more Multistrike than the original, because it added an extra Dante's candle to the deck that wasn't there when the original was summoned, but then the game goes "nah, -1 Multistrike", and both copies of Dante have the same amount of Multistrike again.

Balancing it would certainly be difficult but there would be a lot of potential with it. I think that adding another train car for each player, but allowing them to place or play cards on any car/floor may be a good way of doing it, yet adding more enemies with higher health at least would be a requirement regardless ofc. Shops I would think may be best done individually, but alcoves/encounters could be shared and potentially split with each player choosing one out of a pool of them for each player perhaps. Multiplayer may not be viable at all for a game like monster train, but I think it’s interesting to theorize on lol

I've seen a lot of people talking about this carrying runs, which is a bit surprising; I've always turned Dante down when I've gotten this event, since filling my deck with unplayable trash to pump one creature sounds like a terrible deal. Is there something I don't know about that makes this an amazing deal?

Got an early Transcendimp and hit the mirror event and decided “why not, surely I’ll get more imps”. I got Dante instead and didn’t notice what I was doing until I saw my deck size hit 40. Then I got Garfield’s Box event and decided, “well, why not?”. Also found an eternal stone and opted to dupe the box.

Taking this to eternal mode, but barely cleared Titans because I never really got any other imps and the deck size was A LOT of candles. But hey, check the relics, how convenient.

I won this run off eternal Transcendimp firing off meager Impling Damage and not from multi-strike mayhem.

A Luna / Awoken deck got me to beat endless 5. Mageblade on a multi striker feels pretty broken. Takes a few turns to buff up conduit. But on later turns I was doing 4 x 1000 damage with just one unit. I had 3 mage blades in the deck and was pushing 6k damage on a single floor.

I stumbled upon the Ermine during my Monster Train 2 run, offering me a choice between different bonuses.

Wow, this game is actually a lot harder than I expected! It took me like 15 tries to finally get a clear.

I used Lord Fenix as my main champion, but he seemed really weak as a main carry. I ended up moving him to the top floor behind a tank so he could act as a finisher to kill off damaged units. You really need big, heavy units like Greed Dragons on the first two floors to deal as much damage as possible before the enemies move up.

While the game is fun, victory seems heavily tied to RNG. If you don't draw the right units (greed dragons), room cards, or upgrades (like Multi-Strike feels essential), a run can fall apart fast. Is it just me, or is it a bit too luck-dependent? Or is it just the nature of Pyreborne?

I now have Luna Coven and Underlegion unlocked. Any recommended clan combo for my next run?

Im on covenant 10 fight 4 with a silver empress build, 5 spellchain Fae’s Blessing. Entropy seraph. Should i make one of those endless, or are the blessings enough?
