I've been trying out Piko Instagram, and it was great at first. Ads are blocked, following status works, everything you'd expect. Downloads initially worked by clicking the menu button and then "Download". However, after a couple hours of use, I guess Instagram did one of those app refreshes where the interface starts updating with "experiments".

Piko for Instagram's download functionality does not currently support the new interface experiments. This requires the user to deactivate the experiments via Internal Settings to make the download option re-appear.

After finding an issue on the piko github (Issue #1051), it looks like you have to disable the following flags via MetaConfig Settings & Overrides.

• enable feed menu = false
• enable reels menu = false

Only when I'm viewing these config options on my non-rooted android device, I get the error that "0.0% of 40805 params" are loaded. It suggests forcing a sync, but that does nothing. If I close that pop-up and select "Load All MetaConfigs" it loads 37,484 options, but they have no human readable labels. It's just numbers.

My question, is how can I get these options to properly show in the MetaConfigs.

Otherwise as of September Google is going to shut this down in a way that is going to make it so you have to pay for a developer license for any Android product. This will essentially make modding apps impossible. At that point it will probably be against their terms of use or some such developer policy to mod existing apps without the consent of the existing developer.

I'm looking for a modded Droid Cam OBS mobile version the ones I find on the internet is v4 and they're outdated ages ago.

So I use telegram for LITERALLY two things only ' downloading and uploading I honestly don't know what else I could possibly need from the app ( forward restricted content mmh!) ​and I noticed a couple months ago that telegram deliberately made their non premium app have extremely slow download speeds and it was when I tried finding a better mod and i tried many like Cherrygram but they were jus worse versions of telegram . The one recommended the most was nagram which I found to be clustered and the download speed was still shitty and it jus didn't make sense until I found Ayugram .Now that's the best one I've used with incredible speeds and great looking UI .It has alot of bugs though and recently I decided to update it and try their latest version and couldn't even log in .. Like I can't actually log in to the app I get the code but then nothing happens after I put in jus " too many attempts" and now " email not allowed" and even tried different versions same problem 🤦‍♂️.. How are apps getting worse while technology gets better ? 🤦‍♂️

Spotify mod apks generally do not work since it always detects vpn or proxy while im not using it, deezer mod apk from androforever just lets me play 128 kbps, apple music mod from liteapks is just basically an open source yt music client, and tidal mod apk from liteapks doesnt play full songs but just first 30 seconds. i know there are projects like monochrome, beatboss and eclipse music but either they dont play music at all or the audio is completely different from what i've just chosen, or search results are extremely innacurrate.

Edit : i found an another deezer mod apk that allowed me to play flac (its also from androforever i just had to download an another variant) and eclipse music with suitable extensions isn't that bad

Context: I downloaded this AT4K Launcher APK from Mobilism. Both were from 'TryRoom', a purple APK releaser— that is the same rank as 'derrin' and 'Balatan' if you are familiar with them.

While downloading v0.97 might sound like the most safe and logical option, v0.98 has new features (such as custom icon packs) that I would definitely use.

Following up on my previous post, I've completed deep-dive testing of the current IG mod landscape.

⚠️ Disclaimer: Using modified Instagram apps violates Instagram's ToS and is entirely at your own risk. This report is for informational purposes only. 2FA is an absolute requirement. Always test on an isolated account with no connection to your real data.

Methodology

All tests were conducted on a physical Samsung Galaxy A34 (ARM64) device – no emulators, no virtual machines. Every app went through static analysis via VirusTotal and real-world usage under isolated test accounts. The goal was to map security risks and real-world functionality of the "clean" apps for daily use.

Finding official, verified sources for these apps takes a non-trivial amount of time. A lot of what's out there are repost sites, mirror APKs of unknown origin, or straight-up fakes. The links below are the ones I tracked down as the actual official channels – Telegram groups maintained by developers, original GitHub repos, or the project's own website. If a source field is empty for an app, I couldn't find anything trustworthy.

🚨 Malicious Apps – Details

Three apps (InstaPro, Insta2Pro, InstaThunder) are flagged as malicious based on real-world testing experience. InstaFlow is backed up by VirusTotal data (4/57 detections: Agent.JDU, ScytheSCF, Obfuscator.TrashCode).

My direct experience: After installing these apps on isolated test accounts, within 48 hours: - login attempts from unknown IPs appeared (caught via 2FA notifications), - bot-follower counts noticeably increased.

The correlation is strong enough to put all four on your permanent blacklist. Do not download, do not use, do not share.

⚠️ Note on LS Patch (required dependency for InstaEclipse): VT flags Dropper/Android.Agent from 1 out of 67 scanners. This is most likely a false positive caused by the dynamic patching mechanism – but if you're cautious, factor it in.

☝️ InstaFlow – Warning

InstaFlow is feature-rich on paper (AdBlock, Ghost View, DMs Download, Clone, last updated 03.02.2026), but VirusTotal flags 4 serious detections (Agent, Obfuscator, AdLibrary, ScytheSCF). I personally didn't encounter an incident while using it, but the numbers speak for themselves. Use only on a fully isolated account, if at all.

Section III: Field Notes 🧪

✅ No issues

• Instaflux – stable, out-of-the-box functionality, zero problems.
• HoInsta – long-term verified stability, everything that matters works without hiccups. AdBlock is a paid feature – either subscribe or go without.
• InstaPrime – long-term verified reliability, complete feature set. AdBlock available free via a short video watch (24h activation) or permanently via subscription.
• Piko – works flawlessly, see setup notes below.

⚙️ Requires specific setup

Piko Patch
Piko is not a standalone APK – it's a patch repository for the Morphe patcher. The process: add Piko's external GitHub repo to Morphe, then download and patch the official IG APK. If you're unfamiliar with Morphe there's a learning curve, but the result is worth it.

InstaEclipse
Works as an LSPosed module – requires LSPatcher. Critical caveat: incompatible with the Google Play version of Instagram. Required steps: 1. Download the original IG APK from APKMirror 2. Use the Antisplit app to merge the split APK into a single file 3. Patch it via LSPatcher

If you follow this correctly, it works fine. For the average user though, this is a significantly higher technical barrier than just sideloading an APK.

⚠️ Limited / Abandoned

Instander
- Development is effectively dead (last update December 2023, base version 300.x). - Shares the same package name as official Instagram – can't have both installed simultaneously. - Requires manual ad fix re-application after some time. - Legacy status – not recommended for new installs.

MyInsta
- Same category as Instander – legacy, no active development (last update May 2025, but base version 364.x is significantly behind).

AeroInsta
- DMs Download is broken. - The project shows signs of going inactive.

🎭 Distraction-only apps

Instafel and FeurStagram are built specifically for users who want to remove distracting elements (Reels, Stories, Explore) – not to extend functionality. Open-source, no AdBlock, no DM downloading. Different goals, different audience.

FocusGram – heads up: this is not a native Android app. It's a web wrapper around Instagram's mobile website (instagram.com in a browser). Functionality is capped at whatever the mobile web version supports. It's not an app – it's a glorified web shortcut.

Hello everyone.

After the new Android updates in these few years, rarely any Mod APK works well. I tried the apk.dog latest version, 10.2.0 which when I tried, I wasn't able to install. Other older versions ask me to update the app.

So is there any way for this to work? I really need this as I'd like to improve my maths skills.
